despite six flags being in the lead, I would love to see a Payless Shoes. Always wondered what happened to them.

Every Family Video around me has turned into a Dollar Tree. Also, if you do a video on them, be sure to include the math test that was a part of their hiring process.

Payless Shoes was such a staple for my family. Payless and Kmart was where we did most of our shoe shopping. I have such fond memories as kid of going there, because it meant getting something new.

With Thanksgiving and Christmas coming up, surprised Macy's is not in the lead, but Six Flags would be interesting as well. I visited Six Flags St. Louis in 2021. While it was definitely in "rougher" condition than other theme parks, i.e. Disney, the value for the ticket price was really high. We rode many roller coasters within the first 30 minutes of being there, with little or no waiting in line...

@AngeloGiles

Definitely want you to cover the Six Flags/Cedar Fair merge.

Not many people outside of Pennsylvania would know of Bon-Ton, but it was a regional stalwart and I would love to learn more about it!

Macy's fell from a top selling retailer in a matter of 2-3 years. Would love to see them covered.

I'd love to see all of those companies get a bankrupt video! I picked Family Video because I've seen so little about them outside of them disappearing and there used to be one on the edge of the neighborhood I live in.

@NeoSamus

I didn’t know that six flags filed for bankruptcy? I just saw an article that they are merging with cedar parks

Payless was a huge employer in Topeka, Kansas when I lived there, and its headquarters at the time. It was this economic behemoth that seemed immune from world economic tremors.

@Cereal_fox

I started watching this around the time Payless went under and I have always wondered when you were going to cover it! I love learning about this!

@SortaNonymous

Easily my favorite videos from you have honestly always been the ones on failed retailers, and so I'd love to see one of those, especially Payless or Family Video.

Bon Ton - I loved Elder Beerman and I’m still sad that it’s gone

@davis6123

It would be cool to see Bon-Ton sometime soon. They went on a crazy debt-fueled acquisition spree in the mid 2000s that they never recovered from. Carson’s, Herberger’s, Elder Beerman, a few Parisian stores, etc. So many iconic brands

Payless is seriously a blast from the past for me, I swear I bought every pair of shoes I ever got for 20 years at that chain and maybe 5 more years back when my mom or dad was buying the shoes. Probably, as a matter of fact. As opposed to now when my last ten pairs of shoes have been bought at Walmart (not counting water shoes).

@YourCanadianGuide

I've said it once and I will say it again, democracy simply does not work Payless Shoes is clearly the superior choice!

@Autumnlover30

I went with PayLess because I really wanna know the history behind them and what caused their eventual downfall.

Family Video for sure, remember renting dvds from that place when I was young

@VioletTrillium

I would love to see a video on Payless Shoes. I used to shop there all the time. Their shoes were comfortable and affordable. Now, I have to go to Sport Check and spend twice the money for shoes of the same comfort.
