Greg's Airplanes and Automobiles

P-63 video is coming soon. The video has a sponsor, and that sponsor wants it out for the week of the U.S. Navy's 250th anniversary. I'm having a lot of fun making this one. Even though I already covered the engine there is a lot to talk about with the King Cobra, there is more to the story than the normal, "too late, not as good as the 51 give em to the commies" narrative. I really hope you guys like this video. I also have a WW1 aircraft video coming, also sponsored by a WW1 related product (they really wanted the video to be WW1 related, which worked out well) .

I downloaded "Flying CIrcus" and reloaded IL2, which I am playing in VR. That's allowing me to get more images as actual photos of WW1 planes are pretty rare, especially the one in this next episode. I did get DCS working pretty well in VR, so I'll have to talk about that soon. That said, I'm all in on IL2 until the newer sims come out. I'm just tired of the DCS issues. That said, I also have a how to be the 109 in the Thunderbolt DCS video and one on an easy way to think about starting the engines in WW2 fighters. All that's coming soon.

Greg

I hope people complaining about the sponsorships doesn't bother you too much Greg, I'm glad to see your channel getting big enough to get sponsorships. Some people don't know how good they have it getting content this good for free

Loved the P-39 and 63 since I first learned about them back in my childhood. Will always enjoy new airplane content from you, Greg old boy.

Did anybody else get the notification that "Not A Pound For Air To Ground" is set to be shut down by YouTube. They called it "Reused Content". He intends to appeal and will hopefully win. I've read the Community guidelines and he seems to have met all the requirements, so I don't understand why YouTube would take such action. It's a good channel. Greg and his group are an intelligent cadre'. Any ideas?

Gregg you do a brilliant job here, let alone keeping down a fill time full on career, then add the Automotive work, I will gladly let your sponsors adverts play through knowing it helps you out, something Ive never done for any other channel, thanks for what you do!

The Soviets really liked that 37 mm cannon … so much they put a version of it on their MiGs ..

Looking forward to it, Greg. And finding out why it was so loved by the Russians, yet ignored by the Allies! Even the French didn't want it, supposedly!

I’ve always tended to use IL2 or War Thunder more than DCS for VR sim just because it’s so much easier to sit down and play. When I get home from work and want to fly without a hassle, it’s easy to just hop in and go without issues.

Great ! In future maybe show last chapter for Allison 1750, the twin mustang. To me looks like we just should have paid RR royalty for Meelin. Allison great but piston engine were temporary n standard maintenance

Hope to see you on some of the servers! I love IL-2, it was my favorite flight sim until an odd corruption issue prevented me from playing custom multiplayer coop with my friend and we’ve since moved to DCS primarily but he wants to get back to the Great War soon!

Leave it to the Navy to delay an Army Airforce project.

P-63 and the P39Q are underrated. They performed better than people realize, and the US used teh P-39 more places and longer than most realize.

I collect Guillows P-39 kits, as they've been out of production for decades. I wish they had a 1/16th scale P-63 I could pair it with, as opposed to a long drawn out adapting of my rubber powered P-39s. Hard to commit to cutting the plastic until the final draft. P-63 is still the "coolest" operational fighter of the war IMO.
