Novak should not get special treatment because he's famous. There are many other unvaccinated people that were deported who probably had better reasons to come to Australia. If he got through, so should everyone else. I don't necessarily agree with the Australian covid-rules, but they are at least more consistent and don't care how much money you have in your pockets. The law should be equal to everyone. They should have denied his visum earlier though.

Oh yea, Everyone must follow the same set of rules. There is no place for excuses. If I am not wrong, Australia has really strict migration politics.

Countless people and even celebs got it and still got covid and even died of it, including some of my friends (got sick/almost died), AND as soon as it got approved for kids in Canada they were the most cases EVEN THOUGH they barely wore masks until this point and they’ve been fine!

Big, fat NO! This situation has been handled badly from the very begining. If only he hadn't been allowed to enter at all, it would be a different story. And who, to their right mind can bealive in the reasoning behind his visa cancellation? I do not have any doubt that the future will look at this as a not very bright moment of our politics. If Nole hadn't been issued a visa and approved an exemtion from Australian authorities in the first place, he wouldn't have come here. His arrival in Aus is a consequence of someone else's mistakes. Who is the culprit? His further fight to stay is due to his champion mentality. What else to expect from a GOAT!? It seems to me for a while that this pandemic has been dangerously chalenging the humane side of us. Before all this we all were humans. Many of us will survive the pandemic, but will we all stay humans? Not so sure!

Yeh, I think Australia made the right division, every body must follow the rules and treated equally whatever he/she is or where they are from.

I believe that his visa should have been denied in the first place. If someone doesn’t quality to enter Australia based on existing health rules, then a person’s visa should be denied. Also, the Australian Open officials should have forewarned the players upon invitation about the current health regulations.

There are rules for a reason.....this was not a political issue , not an attack on Serbia just someone not respecting the rules, hopefully he learnt something from how people reacted to him knowingly going out whilst infected interacting with innocent people.

Yes, right decision. Rules are equal for all otherwise nobody will give value for such rules in future.
