Someone said that the remaster of Frank west looks a lot like the 2005 beta model, also as much as I don't like the voice, I have to also say I didn't like kratos voice in the newer god war until I played it and got used to it and even liked it. Just my thoughts. Can't wait for your next video.

They’ve GOTTA fix the Frank character model before this comes out man. Like literally wtf even is this shit. Frank is iconic for being one of the first “ugly” video game protagonists but this is NOT the right kind of ugly lmao. Trash.

Capcom is one of the few to not completely bungle remakes (for now) and there is a lot to expand and improve on DR1 as much as I love it--especially getting that perfect tone that it had; just add iterations, world scale and attention to detail. 👍

I’m not someone who is overly precious when it comes to remakes, but… Ooft. Frank looks horrendous and I can’t believe they recast. Already feels like so much charm has been lost.

UPDATE TIME! Dead Rising is back, I guess????
Hi everyone, figured this was significant enough to post a little update here, thanks for watching my latest video! I have a lot of thoughts about remakes and remasters, and it felt good being able to describe some of those thoughts in a video, while also teasing a bit on how I've analyzed Flower, Sun, and Rain (game capture and script is 100% done, still have to do the voice recording, but I'm doing menial editing in the meantime).
Feels especially appropriate talking about remakes and such because I guess Dead Rising 1 is being remade???? I know they're calling it a remaster and . . . I guess we'll get into that. I know I said the Flower, Sun, and Rain analysis video would be next, but plans have changed (like I said they could). I'm most likely going to make a video talking about the upcoming preview of DR: DR on July 1st.
I'm apprehensive and interested and annoyed and excited and . . . Ambivalent. Still, this is much more interesting than anything else they've done with Dead Rising in almost a decade, so all I can be at the moment is hopeful. With that said, expect a short video talking about this remake and what I'm expecting, probably a few days after the Capcom Showcase. I think it's going to be a lot of fun!
