ACV

Ppl online saying Yasuke was forced in & Naoe shld’ve been the only protagonist, but with the time period, locations, & Nobunaga being there, don’t think so. Feels like both were planned from early on, not like anyone got added later.

Assassin’s Creed has never claimed to have been historically accurate. It’s called historical fiction for a reason.

Yasuke is a perfect historical person to be an AC character. There's enough historical documents about him, and there's still a lot of ambiguity for him to still fit in the AC series. Assassin's Creed has never been 100% historically accurate. Hell, the games themselves state that before you even begin it. What AC does it gives you an environment that's near perfect that you can play around in. So, the people who are upset about his presence in the game are idiotic and want to be upset for no reason.

The hate for the game is so forced. Ya there is definitely things that need to get fixed but none of them are game breaking. All the gameplay clips look insanely good. Super hyped for this game

People wanted a japanese guy to play as an assassin..it was that simple…ubisoft are out of their mind thinking people will love black samurai in japan…it does not matter whether it is accurate or not…IT WAS THAT SIMPLE FOR FUCK SAKE….

@HRush-lu6fj

People can say whatever but allowing us to play as Yasuke, an actual historical figure, is the first exciting decision Ubisoft has made with one of their games in ages.

My exact thoughts. I saw some ppl spreading some Reddit rumor or some shit, claiming that Yasuke was originally a Japanese Samurai but they changed it part way through, which just makes no goddamn sense if you think about game development for more than a sec with having two create two play-able characters and how much effort that takes. Plus Yasuke’s story is literally established in the prologue so why tf would they go through all the work of literally having to rebuild the game from scratch!?

The last ac game this team had control of was syndicate. So that leads me to believe they were always going to do the dual protagonist. at this point it may as well be their signature on the series.

I like both characters but admittedly I plan on using Naoe more. Not because I don’t like Yasuke but I’d personally rather play as a ninja in an AC game. Also her gameplay and traversal seem more fun, I’m hoping for the best with the game.

100% and after previews sounds to me that will be better to have both to change gameplay from time to time

Yasuke has been there since the AC Red leaks back in 2022, same with Naoe, even the names were correct.

@ferryharyantoo

I think its more better if the story of yasuke that stranger in the land, to become gaijin or slave on japan then got rescued by assassin (naoe) But the twist is when become so called slave he learn about the combat of japan samurai and a fast leaner one,and love all the culture of samurai and about respect on battle. not so fond of assassin that play in the dark. Thats why he always choose duel rather than use hidden blade. Just imagine the assassin armour mix with samurai armour, a bulky assassin yet deadly.

As long as the game is fun and tells an engaging story none of these would matter...!!!!

@mayhemsamiegameplay

So basically it was ok when Da Vinci had met Ezio in AC Brotherhood, Bayek met Cleopatra in Origins, but when Yasuke is a Samurai, people go nuts!! My point is if you don’t like Yasuke, just don’t play with him. I didn’t like Jacob sometimes, as his Stealth was nerfed, so we can always choose how we play!!

You guys seem to be getting something wrong. You clearly met AC already in its RPG stage. People are not upset about Yasuke being a thing. They are MAD (and rightfully so) about Ubisoft's portrail of him. They made him this big bulky BLACK samurai saying it's Yasuke, when in reality he wasn't even a real samurai. They based the entire character off a guy's work that called Yasuke a prominent samurai and was HEAVILY criticized for it being inaccurate. Besides, they should be more considerate about how they're dealing with the historical accuracy. They've shown time and time again that they don't know a thing about Japanese culture and history (whose people are extremely proud and considerate about it) and even tried suppressing the REAL Japanese critics addressing these issues. What they've done is nothing more than spitting directly at the Japanese people's faces. So it's not about being "picky", it's about respecting a deeply rooted country's legacy and making it right by them. If you ask me, Ubisoft dug up its own grave. There's no problem at all having Yasuke in the game, just don't call him a samurai and make him a main character on a STEALTH FOCUSED FRANCHISE. Just do your research people. Quit embarrassing yourselves, the Japanese people, and the original fans of the series.
