The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

“I grew up going to a nondenominational church with my mom, and my grandfather even started a church here in DC. But as life changed, I kept having to start over, searching for a place to worship. When I went to college, I had to find a new church. Then I moved to Paris, and once again, I was seeking a religious community. When I returned to DC for law school, I found myself in the same position—trying to find a place that felt like home. It was exhausting and left me feeling lost.

“In my search, I bought a journal and wrote down everything I wanted—a community of people my age, where service was part of everyday life and where the gospel was woven into my daily routine—not just something I turned to on Sundays. I visited countless churches, and while each held truth, none felt complete. They offered fragments of what I was searching for, but I still felt like something was missing.

“Then one Sunday, I attended the Church of Jesus Christ. The warmth and kindness of the congregation resonated with me. For the first time, I felt I had found what I was searching for. I promised myself that if I felt this sense of belonging again, I would keep going. And I did. Week after week I returned and eventually, I reached out to the missionaries, and soon after, I was baptized.

“My journey wasn’t easy. My friends thought it was just a phase, and my family was confused. But deep down, I knew the Church was true, even if they didn’t understand. Over time, my family began to see my happiness and the light of Christ in me, bringing us closer despite our differences. They may not share my faith, but they are part of my story of faith.

“My conversion is ongoing. The gospel of Jesus Christ teaches us to keep growing. I am just like the laws I work with as a lawyer—living and evolving. God’s love has become my foundation, and my congregation is my family. Reflecting on where I started—lost and searching—and seeing where I am now, surrounded by love, feels like a true gift. My life, the family of Christ I’ve found, and the relationships I’ve built are all part of a journey that continues to unfold. I wouldn’t trade it for anything.”—Idrienne

@cbialorucki

I too grew up going to non-denominationalist churches, read the Book of Mormon and was baptized at 18. Greatest decision of my life.

That’s beautiful. I’m so glad you found a “ home” where Christ abides in us and we choose Him every day. I see how you became a lawyer. Very smart! ❤️

I loved hearing your Testimony. I'm so happy for you! When I returned to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, after years of being inactive, I felt such joy and said to my husband, "imagine if we could feel this way every Sunday" and sure enough I did! Returning was like going home. I never felt that way in other churches I attended and I knew without a doubt I was home and this is indeed the true Church. Thank you sister.

It is wonderful that you followed truth no matter what. My former neighbor's family completely disowned her when she joined the church as a young woman. She has grown children now and all are strong in the gospel.

When you find the truth, that light of Christ that we all have inside shines so bright that it takes over your whole countenance. It testifies to you and those around you that you are surrounded by Christ‘s true and living gospel. Your testimony has blessed my day! Thank you.

These are days never to be forgotten. God is gathering Isreal together as we speak even though many don't see it. Jesus is sparking a revival and uses all people and places to minister to one another 🙏 I'm glad I have lived to see these prophecies revealed and come to fruition. Look around ye saints of your father in heaven and observe his majesty and grace everyday

Thank you for sharing.I was kind similar even though I had the most wonderful and powerful personal revelation and felt the Holy Ghost being over me in the Temple I was filled with JOY and felt His power over me while the priests were blessing me. I know that I know something that they don't know. And yes, God's plan is vastly infinite.
