Cinematic Captures

Would you be open to me posting smaller uploads such as bts, WIP and more general Star Wars stuff like that Cad Bane edit or do you only want to see larger projects such as films?

For example if you watched The Dark Times behind the scenes, there’s a ton of footage that never made the final short and I actually have a full discarded cut with the original music, footage & sound.

But I never uploaded it here in full because obviously most of the shots are unfinished and quite rough. Is that stuff that would interest anyone to see?

I’ve gotten to a point where I don’t really upload as much of the content I make as I used to cause I feel I keep setting my standards so high that I can’t upload anything that’s not absolutely perfect or my usual sort of video.

None of these vids would hinder the development of my larger projects and it would essentially just be more content, but I also worry people generally wouldn’t be as interested in them.

Also would you prefer them in the format of my usual videos or would you prefer them as vertical YouTube shorts to help differentiate them?

As a hobbyist 3d modeler I absolutely love BTS and WIP stuff. Your guys' work is both inspirational and very helpful at the same time

I struggle with this as well - BTS videos don't get nearly the same amount of engagement as a short film, and that can be discouraging when you put effort into making it more presentable. However, engagement and numbers shouldn't discourage you from posting something just because it might not be perceived as being on the same level as your other content. If it doesn't interrupt your workflow and you want to post it, post it! Your loyal followers will still watch it and appreciate the hard work you put into videos.

As long as you’re ok with making them i’ll always watch the behind the scenes videos. Seeing animations being made is a cool process

@MoviesRemastered

I'd definately like to see some breakdown videos, program info, model rendering and composition work. I know they don't get as many views but for those who are into it, really love it.

I think it's fun to watch the Behind the Scenes of stuff! I'll admit, I don't watch the Shorts on YouTube. It's too weird for me. But if it's posted like a regular video, I'll watch it always!

Keep doing what you love, that's the most important part about this job. -- upload how much, or whatever you feel like you wanna do ;) -- <3

I voted for more content but I wanted you to know that, that doesn’t mean you need to rush out as much as you want. I think everyone knows how much effort you put in your videos so everyone should be happy if you do whatever you like so don’t feel pressured to do more videos if you feel they need more time. 👍

@3dchick

I'd love behind the scenes, rough, whatever. What gets chosen for the final and what gets left out is inherently interesting in itself. Personally, regular format is preferred, but I'll watch either way. 👍

I love your larger projects! BUT, I do throughly enjoy your more frequent uploads, so please keep the small videos coming too!

I would love to see more Content, especially BTS stuff. Also the "not so perfect" Stuff is interesting in my mind. I worked with UE and did also some color grading in Davinci Resolve and even some rough material is impressive in my mind. I would highly encourage to load up some content.

I understand what your saying. Honestly, it's just the medium that you've chosen. It's ALOT of work. To me, I just like seeing awesome moments of star wars. As long as the story feel like star wars, that's what matters. Look at star wars visions or forces of destiny. Or even the upcoming lego star wars game. looks fucking epic, and the character models are way simpler than what's in your videos. Just something worth considering.

My friend, I can appreciate the desire to keep your channel activity flowing but if you gloss over any imperfection for a deadline, you'll regret it every time you watch your own works. We're happy to wait ✌️
