This won’t be picked, but a Rogue who has a happy home life, and his criminal contact is his uncle or something.

An Orc Drunken master on an epic revenge quest against the black dragon who stole his perfect brew recipe (which didn't happen, he just got really wasted one night and forgot where he put the recipe).

I had a lot of fun playing a grappling-focused glamour bard Goliath based on Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. Plenty of catchphrases to have fun with: healing word ("get up, jabroni"), counterspell ("woah-woah-woah"), stinking cloud ("can you SMELL..."). Plus magical secrets gave access to banishing smite, so he could punch people literally out of existence. Expertise in athletics and the tavern brawler feat (plus chef, for added "cooking" references). He was actually pretty viable. It's the 5e rules rather than the new stuff that I am choosing to fully ignore.

Phoenix or Pyromancer Sorcerer. Their main goal in life is to set off the Faerun equivalent of a nuclear bomb by Circle Casting Delayed Blast Fireball with Prolong to make it last 24 hours and 1 minute. This allows the Delayed Blast Fireball to achieve maximum destructive power with 14422d6 of damage, which they can then maxroll with a Rod of Hellish Flames.

The most chaotic Wild Magic build you can dream up, flavored like a mad scientist.

A hyper aware moon druid who sees everything (may or may not also have trueseeing)

Play the tank wizard build! Except your character believes they are a fighter/barbarian. And their “fighting moves” are actually just spells. Low Wis, High Int. Maybe they carve/infuse their spells into their shield or armor. And they are quite clumsy in combat.

a Tabaxi Path of the Beast barbarian, who thinks he's a monk and tries to find enlightenment but gets his zoomies every time he sees an enemey... or a moving red dot on the carpet ...

You should run that Barbarian build you mentioned in a video, that aims to fall on people 2-3 times per turn

A lawful neutral Ferengi Rogue (follows The Rules of Acquisition), who is in debt up to his eyeballs, fearing death due to him not being able to buy his way into The Divine Treasury

The character concept I really like is an artificer or wizard that had their intelligence boosted after they were struck by lightning. The lightning jumpstarted their brains get allowing them to be more intelligent than all the other members of their tribe.

A chaotic good Artificer Wizard multiclass that casts spells with wisdom and is dedicated to solving the problems with sheer idiocy and plot armor. Min intelligence max wisdom

Goliath if you are doing the 2024 rules. I honestly want to see you play a monk or ranger, but druid would be cool too. Played a 2025 goliath moon druid myself recently. Felt awesome.
