The next video is done, up on Patreon, and will be up on YouTube soon. In all of my videos where I look at how design philosophies evolve, I haven't done any for a Nintendo series, nor have I done one for a series that is known for having an identity crisis. This was a good chance to hit two birds with one stone. However, not everything is clear cut. This isn't a "rise and fall" of a series. It's too weird for that. No, this is a video about the things that are holding it back. From Nintendo's blind spots to increasingly unsustainable standards for what makes a game 'worth buying'. In addition, people who have wanted me to do another Nintendo fanboy rant (despite my feelings on that video) will probably be quite pleased with sections of this video as the erasure of other games and even the work of those who brought these games to life ends up taking a big role. With a video doing all of this, yeah, it ended up being a much bigger task than I initially thought. In fact, this is the longest video I have ever made. Very nearly an hour and a half. Good luck!
