8. Violent crime and homelessness are widespread in major U.S. cities. Do you believe this has become an incurable "American disease"?

@kathieharine5982

Massive wealth inequality has caused these problems.

It is extremely curable but our leaders do not like cures for anything - they love that people cannot have cures.

@EchosJourneys

Mass inequality and greed are the causes of these problems and it is curable.

it is a free world and all people are compulsory for self doing to survive. You are on your own. This is called america.

the cure is investment in meaningful housing regulation, healthcare, mental healthcare, education, and communities. Capitalists will never allow any of that to happen though, because it is more profitable for them to destroy these aspects of civilian life for everyone else.

Crime rates are down and homelessness and poverty aren’t crimes.

No, it is easily fixed with socialism and is not limited to the us.

If the Americans left the planet, what a blissfully peaceful wealthy place the Earth would become.

It isn’t inherently American and it isn’t incurable. To say that is to be dogmatic and to ignore the perpetual march of history/Historical Materialism. Perhaps it is incurable under capitalism, but certainly not incurable in general.

Extreme overseas military expenditure will lead US to decline.

a crime problem is fundamentally only ever a symptom: in this case, a symptom of a society where prisons are run for profit, where schools are underfunded and parents have little support. where there is systemic un- and underemployment and costs for housing are too high. When you have no prospects left, is it not logical to try to survive by any means necessary?

Please provide proof that violent crime and homelessness have become widespread in American cities. What does "widespread" mean? What counts as a "major" city? How does this compare to other cities in the global North?

@Randomactivities2.0

Its been common in every society that has freedoms or a huge financial disparity.

That is why Trump has to put his foot down. They can whine like a spoiled brat, but their time is up. Shape up or ship out to jail or Alligator Alcatraz!
