His powers were impaired by being impaled. Maybe he was preoccupied by keeping his code running or whatever.

I get movies have to be Hollywood and give every character there time but there were atleast 5,000 times where Thanos could have been easily unalived during the whole deal

It is evident ultron knew how to use the stones best. Vision never really mastered that kind of power. Even if he was not weakened he would have lost cause thanos had the means to counter his abilities with 5 stones under his disposal.

Even if he could use that laser after being stabbed earlier in the movie, I highly doubt it would affect Thanos at all. Let’s not forget how unbelievably durable the Power stone makes you, plus he’s got 4 other stones to boot

He was extremely wounded he was recoving from being stabbed and beaten and the mind stone was not at full power/full controll as it had been half taken out of him by shuri before they ran out of time and he had to go on the battlefield. So no he couldn't cut thanos in two like that.

Anyone who genuinely thinks this would've worked does not understand the stones at all. At that point in time, almost no one could've stopped him from getting the mind stone. Thor with stormbreaker would've been the only possibility, and even then, it probably wouldn't have been enough, as Thanos could've just used the time stone to create a loop or the reality stone to change reality so that stormbreaker changes into something else, or he warps reality so that it never hits him... etc. Thanos was at his absolute strongest during that point. He did not get any stronger after that, and the thanos from another timeline certainly wasn't more powerful either. He was just more brutal. The only way to stop thanos at that point would've been thor perfectly catching him off guard with stormbreaker and actually going for the head, or strange using the book of vishanti. While wanda could've beaten him on her own, she didn't understand her own powers even half as much as she needed to in order to actually beat him at that point. So, the scenario in which they were in, not a single thing could've happened that would've allowed them to beat thanos and stop him from getting the mind stone. Once strange gave him the time stone, thanos had already won, and the snap was inevitable.

He could not because he was focused on being good. The Ultron in what if was the completed form of Ultron, uploaded into the body he created for himself. Not Jarvis, essentially.

No creo que eso hubiese pasado thanos ya tenia las 5 gemas el rayo de visiion no pudo hacerle algo si thanos ya esperaba el ataque ya que gracias al poder de las gemas hubieses salido innulnerable (y no me hbalen de thanos y vision en what if ya que fue un guionaso posible, pero guionaso)
