He can still say what he wants. Nobody shot him in the neck in front of his kids.

True free speech means standing up for the rights of the people that you disagree with to speak.

Disney's been anti every amendment and anti-American for three decades... Why you supprised bro. Guess the suprise is that for the first time ever, they used it on a left winger instead of a righty... Hmmm, are they finally coming around? Will Marvel, Star Wars, and ESPN finally be watchable? Nahhh

I don't think this is gonna go the way you think. It's gonna go bro....

As I was saying over the past year, everything is going to go off the rails... We are headed down a very dark path, at this point I don't think we can avoid what's coming unless people wake up and stop falling for the manipulation

I honestly think the network was hoping that this would happen. It gave them the reason they were looking to get rid of Jimmy Kimmel's show dragging down ABC'S ratings.

We're running out of 'out of touch' liberals to satirize and make fun of. First Colbert and now Kimmel... I'm beginning to recognize a pattern.

If you think he was fired for speech and not his ratings in the key 18-49 demo you’ve bought into some propaganda both sides are spinning for their own purposes.

He can say what ever he wants! The government didn’t do anything to him about what he said, it was his employer that held him accountable for what he said. Pretty simple.

So no business can fire you for problematic speech? Dumb take Chilli.

Jimmy has free speech… he said what he wanted and his company did not like his opinion. A private company has a right to fire anyone that does not align with their morals and ethics… now Biden having everyone “fact checked” at the behest of the government.. that was an attack on the first amendment

We all have freedom of speech, but I can't go to work and call my boss a jackass. I'd be fired and rightfully so. It's called ethics and respect. Something you lack dude, but your videos are still entertainment.

He got fired by the mouse, not the Donald. He has free speech. He’s not in trouble with the law for what he said… Or didn’t you know that?

Free speech only applies between you and the government. An employer can fire you for whatever they want

Well, he got termed from his employer, not convicted or charged by the government. If Disney or whoever wanted to keep him they could have. I can say what I want, shy of calling for violence without any repercussions from the government. But a person’s employer may still fire any person if they say something with which the employer disagrees. That’s not a violation of the 1st Amendment. The employee has been termed for some violation of code of conduct. Soooo. Close on this one, but not quite.

Kimmel was a corporate spokesperson not a free speech advocate. We can do without his show anyway and it wasn't the state that fired him but a private company. You'd think just because you are in mass Media that you can't be fired..

No jail time for speech, but private individuals and companies can definitely shame or fire you for speech.

Acts 16:30-31 King James Version 30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? 31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house

Clearly you’ve never worked for a corporation and read through a handbook. Code of ethics is always in there. Let’s get this straight no one is silencing him, he is still able to speak. Freedom of speech does not mean freedom of consequences. Wake up and have some damn respect.

Your argument against him being canceled is a fallacy...he wasn't canceled from a public job or being deplatformed from a public space. He was fired from his job and those are completely different spaces. He can go on to make his own lane on YouTube without being hitched to a large conglomerate of companies who own his behavior.

I've despised Jimmy Kimmel since his promoted the J-aa-bie in 2020 -- Now, he's canceled over his speech. What's happening is Authoritarian Statism. Centralized Power dictating from the a centralized power that we cannot control. We MUST Protect #FreeSpeech even if it offends you.
