(this is the short ver of it so bear with me lol )ok so my au for honkai star rail is that stella has multiple past lives and each of those lives where spent on every planet we have been too alongside that we gain our past memories from every single place we traveled too and since stella has stelleron in her body and she lost all her memories of her past lives she has no empathy so thorough our journey we learns how to feel/understand emotions like for Amphoreus we learned about hardship and death in the loufo we learned about friendship and so on so fourth anywho in one of our past lifes we met dan heng in our last moments and said '' will you still remember me when i am anew '' dan heng was confused by that at the time but now he understands that in a new life they will met again and which they did . In castorice pov of stelle she sees her as divine being/interesting person because one stella can touch her and two she doesn't feel the emotions a normal person would (sorry if some of this doesn't make sense like i said i am very sick and tired rn but i hope you enjoy the au )
