Now that the Oscars have come and gone, what did you think of the winners? Any snubs? I was really hoping Demi would take it home for The Substance, but we all know what The Academy thinks of Horror Films.

@The_RedVIII

After reading what some Oscar voters say about their voting process, like not having seen all movies, or incorrectly thinking that Ralph Fiennes already won an Oscar so they voted Brody (who actually already won one), I don't care about the Oscars anymore.

The Oscars have proven most definitely how irrelevant and out of touch they are.

I know that "Flow" abselotely deserved to get the Oscar for Best Animated Feature in contrast to Disney's productions! Major corporates are usually getting it way too often....

Villeneuve not being nominated for best director is a shame ! Dune 2 was definitely one of the best of 2024 .

"I am still here" is incredible and VERY relevant, I urge you to watch it and it deserved the international film win. Similar praise for No other land, which thankfully won best documentary.

Emilia Perez had 2 wins too many

The fact that Zoe Saldana and Kieran Culkin were in the "supporting actors" category is incredibly shady. Isabella Rosselini did a powerhouse performance and deserved the win, but how is her 15 minutes meant to compete with Saldana, who had the most screentime of her entire film?

@aaronhepler8070

Dune 2 was far and away the best movie of the year.

Who knows? Who cares? The Oscars haven't done right by good movies for a long time.

I wanted Demi Moore to win so bad. 💔

It's still an insult that Emilia Perez was even nominated. It took up potential nominations for more deserving people. Wicked shouldn't have been nominated either. It wasn't great, but at least it was better than Emilia Perez. The academy just seemed to be pandering with Wicked's popularity and Emilia Pérez's extreme oscar bait material. It's good to see that Sean Baker did as well as he did.

Forget Adam Brody Ralph Fiennes deserved that win what's worse is Brody dragged out his speech so long that everybody else had to cut things short

I cant believe El Mal won best song, the spanish "singing" sucks. And Zoe Saldaña ruined everything with her speech. Damn I hate Emilia Perez so much.

I'm just really happy the abomination that was Emilia Perez "only" got 2 awards of the 13 nominations, that was the night's big W. I agree Demi deserved the win, and big shout-out to Conan O'Brien, amazing host, genuinely funny. Made the whole show more than bearable 10/10 for him.

Was really hoping for Conclave for BP. Mikey's win definitely surprised me, but she gave a flawless performance in Anora so it's deserved. Wasn't that interested in watching A Complete Unknown (it was very funny that Bob Dylan couldn’t even be bothered to attend the Oscars), but from the clips I've seen it doesn't make sense why Chalamet was nominated for that over his performance in Dune 2, which was such a stellar performance. I don't think the Academy will ever get over its disdain towards genre movies.

I was mostly in it for Cynthia and Ariana performing. The only snub for me was Adrian winning. I would've chosen Timothee or Coleman

I haven't cared about the Oscars for years. Just rich people parting themselves on the back
