that's one of CP's MOW engines that they use for track maintenance. the leader is also the Bangor & Aroostock heritage unit, which sadly no longer wears its scheme.

That is one of CP's converted MOW locomotives, originally a GP38ac. It would usually be part of one of CP's 'Multi-Purpose Machines' (MPM). There are supposedly 3, but I could only find 2, CP 403011, and 403012.

Your standard MoW engine. UP, Herzog, and other track repair companies have them. Usually built from old GP units. They have small fuel tanks as they rarely go far by themselves. I've seen this one go past Revelstoke in the past, accompanied by the usual CP Rail SD40-2 escorts. Great catch!!

Here is an unusual catch - does anyone know what the yellow Canadian Pacific engine is? I found this in my camera roll from a road trip I took in 2021. I had forgotten about it until looking for footage I needed for an upcoming video.
