Damn power efficient and superior performance. It's nice to see MTK improving their stack

Damn, the snapdragon 870 was already an insanely good SoC but that the 8100 is even so much better just proofes how good Mediatek has become.

๐๐๐ looks promising, i will bought one (d9000) when its available in my coun

Amazing score from MTK it's now the best on efficiency even over than apple soc

I don't understand how Qualcomm is doing to get worse years after year in efficiency while Mediatek gets better and better when they are using the same tools, the same instructions set and cores... And Mediatek drives innovation forward with things like AV1 HW decode since the Dimensity 900 and 1000, among other things. No wonder Mediatek is getting more and more popular years after years. It would be time to wake up, Qualcomm !

That is impressive indeed especially from what I've seen from early reviews of the chip. Mediatek really hit a jackpot here. This would be the successor of SD870 of this year's SoC unless Snapdragon has something up its sleeve.

Hehe, nice, but try the iPhone in power saving mode to see some really impressive efficiency scores!

Wow, unfortunately I just got a new phone since I needed one, I was looking to get a Xiaomi 12 but was not available in my country, these new CPUs seem like the better option.

I would still get an iPhone over dimensity 9000 device because IOS has way better optimization in most games then Android

I think TSMC fabs are just better than samsung. The snapdragon and exynos chips produced on samsung fabs are just worse huh?

Brother it's impressive how you uniquely analyze the smartphones gaming performance... Keeping that in mind I have a request make a detailed video on MEMC (Video smoothing/enhancement) supporting smartphones especially OnePlus devices... I've tried to find any information on this but there is no legit information on YouTube or any blog post... It's a very impressive feature for people who consume media on smartphone but no one seems to be aware of it And I think OnePlus's main goal is to use memc chips to artificially enhance gaming frame rate even for games which doesn't support high frame rates but we aren't still there....

I REALLY hate the Cortex X-2 Core! Imo it is the cause of all of our woes on Galaxy S22 Snapdragon and Exynos! It is extremely inefficient, heats up ridiculously fast, and throttles performance tremendously. Coming from the S20 with SD865, this new chip is a huge step backwards and now I want to return this S22 for my old S20 which ran perfectly smooth on OneUI 4!

The #Dimensity9000 and #Dimensity8100 are super efficient, really amazing!
Dimensity 9000 vs Snapdragon 8Gen1:
CPU:
X2 core +33% efficiency;
A710 core not testable at the moment, will update later
GPU:
+12% efficiency in GFXBench 3.1;
+45% efficiency in 3DMark.
Dimensity 8100 vs Snapdragon 870 is more amazing:
CPU:
+42% efficiency
GPU:
+20% efficiency in GFXBench 3.1
+64% efficiency in 3DMark
D8100 is the real successor for Snapdragon 865, 865+, and 870
At $400 price point this SoC seems invincible to me.
Only thing: MTK don't mess up drivers and support.
