I don’t think I can put mine in order, it’s hard enough even narrowing down to 5. But I suppose mine would be The Shining, The Godfather, 12 Angry Men, Edward Scissorhands, and Mulholland Drive. The Shining is in my opinon the absolute best horror movie ever created, and I have watched thousands of them. The setting and immaculate acting alone set it above the rest for me. The Godfather is a masterpiece and doesn’t even really need explanation, anyone that’s seen it just KNOWS why it’s considered a classic. 12 Angry Men is absolute perfection, and the one movie that I 100% believe every living human being MUST see in their lives, because it will change how you think about others entirely. Edward Scissorhands is my favorite childhood movie and has such an incredible art direction and score, setting, characters, and perfect blend of humor and emotion. I feel like despite its popularity, it doesn’t get nearly enough attention these days compared to what it did in the 90’s. And Mulholland Drive is absolute peak David Lynch. It’s his masterpiece (aside from Twin Peaks of course).

Top five is hard, and I agree, things can shift over time and depending on the day, but here’s what I think I’d have to go with currently. 1) “The Lord of the Rings,” 2) “The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe” (Andrew Adamson version), 3) “The Little Prince” (2015), 4) “Beauty and the Beast,” (Disney’s, animated), 5) “Spirited Away”. There’s probably at least another 5-10 though that are still very high on my list of favorite films and tv series.

If we gotta count each LOTR movie separately: 1. The Fellowship of the Ring 2. The Return of the King 3. The Two Towers 4. Children of Men 5. The Matrix If we don’t have to do that BS: 1. The Lord of the Rings 2. Children of Men 3. The Matrix 4. A Scanner Darkly 5. Titan A.E. Edit: Kudos for having Mandy in your top 20 that one’s a hidden gem

I don't know for sure what I'd place at 4-5 or beyond at the moment, but my top 3 has been pretty consistent for a few years at least: 1 - Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl 2 - The Raid: Redemption 3 - Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope I suspect that RRR, Emperor's New Groove, Reservoir Dogs, Where Eagles Dare, Matrix, Age of Ultron, and The Court Jester would round out my top 10 in some order; but I may well be forgetting some that should make the list instead.

As a fellow animator one of my favourite movies is Coach Carter - not an animation at all. You're allowed to be 3-dimensional Howard 👀🤌

To be fair animation is the imitation of life so I think it would be pretty normal though I watch so many movies it would be hard to narrow down to a top five so I keep different lists ie top five live action top five animated ect

for me #5 *The boy and the world* (its legit one of the driving forces of what makes me animate) #4 pretty much anything Satoshi Kon has made, but gun to my head *Tokyo godfathers/perfect blue* #3 *World of tomorrow* by don hertzveldt (available on youtube)(c.w existential dread) #2 *Yearbook* by Bernando Britto (I think about this short atleast twice a week)(really makes me wonder what I would record if the world was ending, or if anything I made is archived somewhere out their) #1 **District 9**,call it country man bias, but man do I love this film I dont beat myself about my top 5,10,20 etc, I go about it as "what films allow a better reflection into my personality/taste" and how can I share interesting thinks I have found and want others to also enjoy.

Guys, out of interest, what's your top five?
Feeling a bit insecure that my top 5 is all live action.. Although this list shifts around depending on what i'm feeling at any given day.
