Today's Homeowner with Danny Lipford

I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Ron Hazelton, a legend and friend in the home improvement world.

As host of “Ron Hazelton’s House Calls,” Ron inspired millions of people to tackle projects with confidence and creativity. He was generous with his knowledge and time, and he had a warm, engaging personality.

Ron was not only a great teacher and entertainer, but also a passionate historian who loved to explore the stories behind homes and their heritage. He hosted several shows on the History Channel and sought to make the past come alive for viewers.

I ran into Ron many times over the years at trade shows. It was always great to talk with him.

He will be missed!

@xnavyro

I really enjoyed his “down home” style & teaching technique which didn’t assume the consumer knows “everything”! He was a well loved man & will be sorely missed. God bless him & his family.

So very sorry to hear of this, a terrible loss. There is nothing that can be said to ease the pain that his family must be feeling, but try to remember the laughter and joyous times. I have always enjoyed both of these shows and I love seeing the photo of the two men together.

My sincerest condolences to Ron's family, and many friends. Ron always showed us a simplistic approach to home repair. He will be made small projects look doable. ♡
