I love the joy of all of the lights and decorations, the smell of amazing food and all of the interesting and beautiful things people sell. It’s magical. I’ve been to quite a few now and I love the uniqueness and the local feel of Esslingen. I’m heading to Poland soon. I’m super excited. I’m thinking they may top all the others. Now the question is, how do you store all of the Christmas mugs? Love having them out to see and use them. It’s a wonderful reminder of the spirit of those Christmas markets.

Oh Kristin, without a doubt, for me it’s Vienna Christmas market. A close second is Prague. For a small culturally authentic vibe, Bratislava Slovakia is fun!

I just love the atmosphere. Food. Drink. Friends. Even if it’s cold, I love seeing the happiness of people being together enjoying life.

Two favorites: Kempten, Germany, at the foot of the Bavarian Alps, and Cagliari, Sardegna, simply magical, with the best Pecorino cheese! Stay safe, Kristin, as recent developments in Europe not looking rosy!

It's nice when they're not too overcrowded. Otherwise it loses a bit of the nice winter Christmas spirit if it's all noise and hustle bustle 😊

I used to love the Christmas markets in Birmingham UK. That was my first experience of a German style market.

Yes, as time permits. I like the ones associated with various ethnic groups as they really open up one’s eyes to those cultures and foster better understanding. Peace on Earth - can’t get enough of this.😊

Regensburg for the general vibe. Munich for the sheer volume. But I imagine there are other cities which do it better. Like Strasbourg?

I went to Vienna over Christmas once. It was pretty amazing. You can here the huge bell on St. Stephen's. The city center is beautifully decorated.
