I've done multiple controlled edge retention tests on there models and so far they have all done well, atleast in the past 2 years I think they have gotten it down pat which is a great thing to see as most companies don't they just run it however instead of tweaking until they can get as consistent as possible. It's also probably the reason they took so long to work with any other steels

I'd love to see you test out some flavor of the AD-15. I think you'd get a kick out of it.

I want one so bad, I always said the baby banter would be a great knife if they made a bigger version of it and then they did

As long as it's constructed properly and the price reflects it. Also, the reason I like the flipper tab on liner lock knives is. Extra protection kind of.

I thought that as a lefty, you were sticking with an Axis lock bar style? I recently bought a few different CIVIVI knives, and the Primitrox is my favorite. It's super clean looking, and I think that the blade shape is also the best looking. The Nitro-V is also fairly easy to sharpen to a very nice edge, though it doesn't hold that edge as long as some others. I have a few knives in 20-CV and more in ZDP-189, which is similar, and they seem to take more work and more care to get to the same edge as the Nitro-V. It will be interesting to see what you experience.

please look into if serrated blades are actually better at cutting bread than a well-sharpened kitchen knife? and how to sharpen them. also, is there ever a time when when stopping at coarse stones actually cuts something better than a fine scratch pattern?

I just got one of these I can’t wait to watch the review. What are your thoughts on the cpm20cv steel.

Too much for a liner lock. Also it annoys me when they don't list what the lock type it is under production description. Like they're trying to hide it.

Hmmm... $147.50 for a folder with "Blade Material CPM 20CV". I don't own anything made with CPM 20CV steel, but it has a reputation of being quite hard to sharpen. If I had to pick, it'd be CTS BD1-N (another powder steel) as that holds an edge beautifully and is dead easy to sharpen. I have 4 blades from 3 manufacturers, all have similar characteristics so they're all using exactly the same heat treatment - or it's less sensitive to it.
