Censorship. Advertisements popping up as soon as you walk away for a few seconds.

It's already been said often, but advertising and censorship, comments that are deleted by algorithms, the algorithms themselves that keep you in a bubble. Positive, the wealth of information, the podcasts, interviews like yours Curt, and the possibility to engage in discussions in the comments section with people from all over the world.

Negative: 1. Ads 2. The Algorithm's disproportionate power to impact creators and influence the population 3. Owned by Google and has a stranglehold on the online video market Positive: 1. The ability to learn about virtually any topic at the click of a button 2. Subscribing to individual channels and having all their uploads in a single convenient tab.

After seeing just how many people here have stated their biggest dislike as censorship, much of which I'm sure is us getting censored, I'm wondering if you'd do another poll about this specifically, and gather some info about what exactly we are all experiencing. You could then do a video summarizing it all so we can more accurately know just what we are so going through. I'm sure many people aren't even aware of when comments are censored because they don't tell us, so it's only if we check back that we when see it happening. Google is essential spitting in the face of us all by doing this, and I wouldn't be surprised if it focuses more on "problematic" posters or people with "incorrect" politics or issues being discussed. Whatever the case, this is supposed to be a nation of free speech and these platforms are violating the public discourse regularly. I don't know what can be done about it, but we need to pressure them somehow. People with large channels that are based on intelligent conversation have even more obligation to get rid cleared up. Blaming the algorithm at this point might be correct, but it's not enough. They need to seriously CHANGE the algorithm so that it stops deleting meaningful comments that aren't in violation of terms of service. And they definitely need to inform us if they are deleting anything and TELL US WHY. This mysterious way of just disappearing things is infuriating. Thank Curt, for considering this!

The only way to turn off suggested videos is to delete and disable watch history. But then if I have to switch off halfway through a long video it's a pain finding where I left off.

A recent discovery was you and your science channel... that's a net good for me. I wish sometimes YouTube would reach a little more sideways and give me unexpected finds from outside my normal echo chamber. That's always intriguing and interesting and exciting....
