Mark Hyman, MD

Chick-fil-A, we need to talk.

What if I told you that your "chicken" is marinated in MSG, coated in aluminum-based additives, fried in petroleum-derived preservatives, and topped off with artificial dyes?

Here’s what’s really inside:
– MSG & flavor enhancers: Overstimulate brain cells and disrupt hunger signals.
– TBHQ & preservatives: A petroleum-based chemical linked to immune dysfunction.
– Aluminum additives: Associated with neurotoxicity and long-term health risks.
– Artificial dyes: Linked to hyperactivity, allergies, and potential carcinogenicity.
– High fructose corn syrup: Fuels insulin resistance, fatty liver, and obesity.
– Trans fats & refined oils: Increase inflammation and heart disease risk.

This isn’t real food—it’s an inflammatory cocktail designed to hijack your taste buds, disrupt your metabolism, and fuel chronic disease. Your body isn’t a chemistry lab. It needs real, whole foods to thrive.

Would you still eat it after seeing the ingredients? Drop your thoughts below.

Dr Hyman, thank you for posting!! I am so grateful for the momentum that is building up against the food industry and those that are putting toxic chemicals in our foods. Let's keep this going and make a difference in our communities and start holding these people and places ACCOUNTABLE.

Scary! I teach my kids about bad chemicals in food and how the food industry is trying to trick them into buying bad food. They're 6 years and under. They've never had fast food thanks to everything I've learned from doctors like you.

I do not trust any restaurant to cook my food, unless it is literally a farm to table restaurant. Thank you so much for your post ❤️❤️❤️💪💪

Did we need Mark Hyman to tell us? These toxins are there for all to see. We need to become responsible for the choices we make and where we spend our money.

Our food has been killing us for decades! I don’t eat fast food! We need to put them all out of business and go back to raw eating, but affordable!

A lot of people think Chick-fil-A is somehow a healthy fast food because it's chicken. If it was healthy would you see such long lines in their drive through every day and so many people eating it and talking about how much they love it? Glad you're getting the word out, Dr. H.

It's crazy what Americans allow to be in their food 😱

That’s what we need to see more of —people being provided the information for making good choices and corporations being accountable to the people who buy (or don’t) their products !

Yup, sadly what’s referred to as, “the Lord’s chicken” is not the Lord’s chicken at all. Chic-fil-a is not good for you at all. 👎

Thank you Dr. Hyman! 💕 Please keep doing this kind of messaging. It is intolerable that this kind of food is allowed to be sold

Thank you for posting this Dr Hyman. I feel like I knew it was wasn't a healthy choice, but it had to be a little better than Popeye's.... ugh. Shortcuts don't work! (My new mantra!)

I eat homemade home cooked meals of whole organic foods. No franken foods for me.

I stopped eating all fast food. None of it is worth the damage it does.

I’ve always had a pretty severe allergic reaction when I have eaten it so I’ve never been the biggest fan. For a long time I thought it was the peanut oil, but I’m not reactive when I eat peanut butter so that’s never really made sense. This now makes a lot more sense especially since I’m incredibly sensitive to MSG and cannot tolerate high fructose corn syrup at all.

I had to quit eating chick-fil-a several years ago because I began to develop skin rashes and breakouts. I thought I was allergic to the peanut oil they use to fry in because I have allergies to peanuts; however, after reading what you posted, I'm thinking maybe it wasn't just the oil.
