Tommy John. Everybody knows about the surgery, but little is ever said about the pitcher whose dedication to a rehab that had never been done before made it work.

Barry Bonds pre 1998, even pre Giants. It is also cool that he was a pioneer in the 30-30 club.

How about Jose Conseco/McGuire or something on the Athletics team of that era. Particularly with the team’s impending move, it’d be nice to see some Athletics history.

Not so much for players, but for the last two weekends of the 1987 season. It came down between my Tigers and Toronto, the teams with the two best records in baseball, playing seven games over the final two weekends for the AL East. Four of the games were won in the winning team's final at bat, three went into extra innings, two were walk offs, and every game decided by a single run. It was nuts. I said it then and I'll say it today: those seven games were the best series in the history of the sport. Also, those games had nearly two months worth of buildup. From early August until the first set of games in late September, neither team could separate from each other by more than 1.5 games. Not only was it the best division race in the history of baseball, it was the ONLY division race in the history of baseball. If it had been NY-BOS, they'd be teaching it in history classes.

What player NEEDS a 30 for 30 (documentary) made about them?
