I used to have 12s from Ernie Ball "Not Even Slinky" for standard tuning. Now I use that guitar neck as a fishing rod.

i started with 9-42, then went to 9-46, then to 10-52, then to 11-50, I have now settled on 10-48 and am so happy to have finally found the right strings for me

I used to play 11s when I played in a black metal band, it helped hold the lower tunings we'd use. But now I'm in a rock gig and I'm soloing a lot more, and once you go down to 09s, your fingers won't ever want to work extra ever again haha

I played on 12s for years and I bend alot... I did it as sort of ankle weights to improve my bending/vibrato strength, and I now have very confident control of my vibrato

009-046 for everything…Standard and Drop D…just feels the best to me and sounds perfectly fine! :)

Recently bought 12-56 and that's a huge difference between 9-49. Heavy stuff gets even heavier but higher strings aren't affected by string thickness. Great!

Depends on the tuning and guitar. If we're talking standard E. I go between 9 and 10s.

Used to be 11's now 9's. I have scleroderma from S.S. and my fingers get painful ulcers sometimes. This and lower tunings (less tension) allow me to play some pretty technical music. A whammy pedal is handy too to move the tunings around

I use D'Addario 11-52s, and they are the perfect mix of stiffness and bendableity.

12s are my favourite. Once you get used to them they feel fine even at E-Standard, they hold tuning stability better at low tunings, and they’re much harder to break. Once I went to 12s I never went back. Specifically Ernie Ball’s “Not Even Slinky” 12-56. Those are by far my favourite strings on Earth.

This post reminded me that I haven't changed my strings since 2018... I should do that

I've been using 11-56 NYXL strings for years now, got a nice and heavy low end with manageable bends on the high end, and they stay in tune no matter what.

Depends on the tuning, .9’s for standard and Drop D and Drop Db, .10’s for Drop C. .11’s for drop B.
