Your engine building series was one of the best references i had for learning how different aspects of an engine affect performance. That knowledge helped me immensely when i rebuit the engine in my truck right after high school.

If it s like ‘this old house ‘ then keep it simple as they do cause the host has a kind of way to tell a short story, like your stories, he then uses techniques he’s learned from others and others experience also. Each time the hosts story unravel the experience kicks in I think it’s the way most viewers including me see it all.

I have no idea what you can add to your shop but I think a mix of everything would be great. Too many people to all fit in one category. Do what you enjoy doing and share that!!! Happy Thanksgiving my friend!!!

I began watching your channel because of the instructional videos on engines/rebuilds. More educational content would be nice.

Chrisfix does a good job with basic stuff, 1aauto does a good job with detailed repairs. Pete’s garage however, is where we come to learn something more than how to change oil

Pete's Garage
New shop suggestions:
I started Pete's Garage in 2009, that's over 15 years ago when I was 44 years old. It is a small shop on my home where I have successfully done many different projects. From engine building, to powder coating and painting.
Here is my question to the world: Now that I am a couple short years from retirement I would like to know what you think I should build or add to a new shop. I am working on buying a piece of land for a new shop where I can live out my days working on projects and sharing knowledge with the world. Kind of like the show "This Old House" but for cars. The automotive world has changed so much since I started making videos, and even more since I rebuilt my first car in 1982. But one thing has not changed, people need help fixing their own car to save money, and people who need help when they think they are getting ripped off. What do you think I should focus on and what kind of equipment should I purchase for my new shop? I have my own ideas for the basics, but what can I add that would help the most people, be the most educational, and help me leave a legacy of friendship and community? I am in the planning phase, and will bring you on the journey with me as I build a new Pete's Garage. Please leave a comment and I will talley up the results.
