Even if this was $1,000 to rent, it would be the best money you'll spend all year. Every Don Hertzfeldt movie (or short) changes your perspective on life. I've never left an Animation Festival or Limited Release of his work without laughing like a hyena or crying like a baby. Please give this, and all his other work, a watch. You'll be beyond happy you did.

When I watch your pieces I can't help but be reminded of the game Kentucky route zero, in it's first interlude you come across a bit that says "can we ever experience art the way it was intended? Do we even want to?" With this one in particular, I'm not sure if I've fully understood what you've meant to say, and yet I've felt so much as a result.

There are more productive and meaningful ways to spend your finite time on this Earth than watching a Hertzfeldt film, but there aren't a lot of them.

The first time I watched this, I didn’t know why I was crying. The second time, I knew exactly why.

Mine only stuck with me for 71 1/2 hours after I finished it... Worth it but I miss it </3 Where/when/how can I own some sort of "forever" version, be it a digital purchase until the streaming service liquidates itself or some sort of archaic data disc I can slam into the mouth of a rectangular robot that poops sound and visuals into my telly? The latter would be preferable.

"One of the best animated films of the year... the type of movie that sticks with you long after it’s finished, the type that makes you look at yourself, the people around you, and the world differently for having watched it." - Polygon
"A dialogue-free musical that pushes the animation extraordinaire’s inventiveness to new heights. Starting as a small-scale family drama before reaching perhaps the widest scope of his work yet, it’s a rhythmically captivating odyssey into the fabric of humanity." - The Film Stage
