Primal Space

Fun Fact: When the Hagia Sophia was completed in 537 AD, its dome was the largest in the world. To prevent collapse, its builders used lightweight volcanic rock from the Aegean, along with a combination of brick and mortar, creating a structure that was both strong and surprisingly light for its scale.

Out of pocket, but I love how our species never stopped overcoming the elements by constructing with mathematical concepts and proven scientific principles. I love it. Architectural design is so cool Actually, goes way beyond just our buildings. We did go to space

The Haggia Sophia is only a piece of it. It is just one corner of the roof. This masterpiece is colossal.

Also porous volcanic rocks are extremely good at erosion resistance and insulation since it has many small air pockets. Volcanic rock is the single most versatile type of rock in the world. It should be used for furnaces, it can be use for sound deadening, it should be used in garden as a concrete alternative, and it can be used in ponds. The single most versatile!
