>visit exoplanet with nitrogen/oxygen rich atmosphere >amazed by the beauty and difference of life from our planet >2 hours later immediately killed by viruses i’ve never adapted to

earth 1000 years in the future has a 50-50 chance of either being very beautiful or being a big ball of trash

Need to visit Earth 1000 years in the future, just so i can see if One Piece still going

Would visit the Earth like Exoplanet on some crazy fast spaceship, and by the time I’m back on Earth, more than 1000 years would have passed away! 😅 Nothing but a win-win!!

I find purpose in God and anyone is free to hate me for it, but I'm grateful that I don't need to look for purpose in an unreachable place or time. Anyone can see the truth of Jesus and the Holy Spirit, but only few will, because there are many who rely on human logic and though they claim to be curious minds and scholars, they never TRULY enquire the possibility of the supernatural. I'm sorry if my words offend you, but the name of our savior is Jesus and many who didn't before now know him as you know your mother or friends, He is not hard to find at all, it only takes pure desire, a willing heart, and an understanding of why you need Him in your life (which happens after some sort of gradual enlightenment that just happens through the Holy Spirit). You don't have to just take my word for it brethren. May His light shine upon you.

Both have benefits. Potential confirmation of alien life or potentially being able to see a great future humans have made and all the advancements that come with that. Or you could be on a planet devoid or any life, in both cases.

exoplanet for sure. the earth will exist in 1,000 years, but there's no guarantee humans will ever get to another planet

Really depends on how earth-like it is, because most "earth-like" exoplanets we know of are barren rocks that might have a breathable atmosphere if you're lucky

Hard to say because of the possibility that earth won't be habitable by then, and I would prefer the second option anyway, but there's also a chance that visiting future earth would provide technology to visit said exoplanet anyway and more

depends on whether or not im safe during my visit, since i have no idea what awaits me on that planet

Can you imagine getting out of your small colony to a new beautiful world full of lush forests and species you’ve never seen? A whole new world to explore. How beautiful would it be

As someone with a fear of one/many-eyed creatures (Plankton, Minions, and guardians are exceptions), I'm definitely picking the first one. We have no idea what aliens would look like. And even if they have two eyes (or none), they could be... I dunno, amorphous blobs of goo sliding along the ground, which would be creepy as hell. With earth, at least we know what to expect.

If I have a way to get back from both, then 1000 years into the future Worst case scenario I find a toxic wasteland and immediately TP back

Visiting earth in the future would just be depressing

Exoplanet for sure. With precautions like enough oxygen to stay inside a sealed suit the entire time. Far future Earth just gives me dystopian vibes.
