Is Elden Ring the best game you have played?

I feel like "No, but it's one of the best games I've ever played" should be an option.

@CelestialDraconis

Bloodborne is still my all time favourite game. Elden Ring comes close but it doesn't have BB beat.

@nakamuii

I love how "No" and "I've played better games" mean exactly the same thing in this context lol

@laloquaint

It's definitely the best game I've played in a while. Loved the story (at least what I understood lol,) the bosses, the characters and the sense of exploration that no other game has given me since Skyrim. It was an amazing experience.

It's up there with Halo 2, God of War, Horizon Zero Dawn, and The Last Of Us for me. Games with some of the best stories, worldbuilding, and lore I've witnessed.

One of my all-time favorites, but still like DS1 more tbh. Probably because it was my first Souls game, nothing has been as magical to me since.

The Witcher 3 still remains my favorite game for its story and music, but Elden Ring is one the best solo video game I've played in a few years

Nothing will ever beat the feeling I got from playing through DS1 and DeS for the first time, even though I think Elden Ring is a much better game and I'm absolutely loving it, I still had a better time with those two games the first time I played them. So for me it's the third best game I've played in the action RPG genre. Definitely in my top 10 of all time accounting for all genres as well.

@ArcAngelAlice

I’d say it’s my second favorite right behind Oblivion for purely nostalgic reasons.

Sekiro still my favorite but this might be the best

@Golden910

It's really good. I don't think it's the best game I've ever played but definitely really good. I don't personally care about the dlc but im definitely looking forward to new cool weapons

Sekiro was the best modern game i played so far. Although it could have more stuff involved in it (like better ai on normal mobs, or changing clothes to leak in cause you know, he is a ninja) it was still best as in both gameplay wise and lore wise. I love how they hide little lore details in games.

Dark Souls 1 is my favorite game of all time. Elden Ring is great, but I've been feeling like the size is artificial. Too many repeat bosses and reused textures across the mini dungeons.

@PuddleYT

My (former) favorite game is Xenoblade Chronicles and Elden Ring has that “If you see it, you can probably go there” mentality and that’s my favorite thing in a video game.

It's definitely up there with my favourite games of all time. Easily top 5 most impressive games I've ever played, too

For me right now it’s tied with God of War for my favorite. I place a lot of value into aesthetic and environmental beautiful and both of those games really aced that

One of my top RPGs of all time and I been in the game since the 80s. Makes you think on your feet and continously plan a strategy. You can't just quickly become over powered and decimate everything moving. Run into a room with your chest puffed out here and you will quickly see the "You Died" screen

@SwiftestNova

Honestly, yes. It gives me a feeling that the witcher 3 gave me back in 2015 and i never thought i would have that again.

As a lover of RPG games, Elden Ring is honestly one of the best games I have ever played. It obviously cannot replace the good memories I had on Shadow of the Colossus for example, but compared to the games we have had in the past few years, Elden Ring should really be an inspiration for many of those. No bullshit, a full delivery of a solid game that took me more than 150+ hours to complete, fun, beautiful and immersive. No additional transactions needed, no skins bullshit, just a beautiful journey
