Pretty much all of the songs from La Rouxs’ first album. Tiger Lilly, Colourless Colour, In for the Kill these songs really are what spurred my interest in synthesizers

It's a bit pop and mainstream but West end girls by pet shop boys always sounds wicked on radio. I'm not even particularly into pet shop boys music. But cracking and memorable synth track!

The Human League - Seconds. That overdriven Jupiter 4 unison sound still makes me pull a Nick Batt "oooh" face.

Does anything beat that glorious pad under the chorus in Say Hello Wave Goodbye? Not only by the wonderful Dave Ball, but soooo much emotion, and the finest of sounds. After that, much of Ultravox's Rage In Eden. Thanks!

Ultra by KMFDM was the first song that made me feel blown away by the power and bombast of synths, especially the intro. It was my first time hearing a song where the synths sounded heavier than the guitars.

Kraftwerk "Spacelab". The intro is so trippy & sci-fi, yet so incredibly warm, like a nice, thick blanket.
