Base Idea 1: in addition to owning a junkyard, Grady would be the a car mechanic (I see him being more of a private/family business vibe as opposed to working for a large company) -- the two locations would also be right next to each other with Grady and Abilene live in a RV + trailer*) Base Idea 2: Ways the autobots can enter/exit the Season 1 base is through some shipping containers that lead underground (also, for the humans, there could also be portapotties that could double as elevators) * which could serve as a mobile base Team Autobot primarily use after the junkyard gets destroyed at the end of Season 1 (Season 2 could be sorta like a summer roadtrip, which is how the twins + Amy are able to go with the Clays around wherever they need to go and a Season 3 would be probably more of a continuation of that summer) --------------------------------------- Bumblebee Idea: IMO one of the best looks for regular Bumblebee is him being a Volkswagen Beetle in his titular live-action movie, so I think it'd be fitting to use another Volkswagen to inspire his Bee Prime Vehicle mode and I found one called the Atlas* that looks cool :D (would have broader shoulders that contribute to his hover mode as they could expand to a second set of wings, his stingers would have both short range "knife hands" and medium-long-ranged blasters) * you suggested the "Volkswagen 2024 Golf R" and I have to agree, that's much more of a Bumblebee vehicle (also, when I googled a yellow one for it, it genuinely looks perfect :D) *EDIT*: Also, I had an idea: what if when he's trapped by HORNET, he's called Project Prometheus, 'cause as a twist on how Prometheus gave humans fire, HORNET view him as giving part of his "flame" (aka they use a bit of the All-Spark/Matrix's power) to aid them (HORNET) in their mission for "saving humanity" --------------------------------------- Birdy idea: Maybe we could make it so Birdy has a high-risk high-reward weapon: like a sonic cannon [it could be called the Thunderbird] on (one of) his shoulders that sorta is like a giant soundbox/speaker (the risk could be that it takes a long-time to recharge when used) -- also, I realized something when looking over our notes/comments about Birdy: we made the Autobot who's a Hummer in vehicle mode the same one who enjoys (making) music by humming :D --------------------------------------- Sky moment: There could be a moment where it highlights how Sky views the new team as similar to his old team while also recognizing them as their own individuals [like you know the trop of seeing a seia-ish photo to show a nostalgic photo]: also, if we have a larger episode with it as a (sub)plot, could have it be about taking a photo with Grady and Sky's old team photo and the new team photo being the one shown --------------------------------------- Grady's old team idea: one of them could be established early on as someone whose in charge of the local news network (maybe that's part of how current-day team Autobots stuff is generally kept out of the public's attention) -- not sure how feasible this is given they're giant robots [as of writing this, we still need to figure out how to incorporate this character, but she's intended to be a reference to the original April O'Neil from TMNT as both original shows -- for TMNT + Transformers -- aired around the same time :P]

The kidnapping 2-parter (around midway through season 1): Also, off-topic to the setting but something that hit me while writing this would be how creepy and cool it could be to have a train that goes through town that's established as a background detail early on and even used by the characters but maybe one episode a bit before midway through the first season, the humans (not including Grady) get abducted by a Decepticon* * * who impersonated that train** and it's up to Grady to coordinate a rescue mission with Sky and the Autobots (could be a two-parter if we also want to include flashback scenes to the "season" {in air quotes as it'd only in references to something in the past continuity of our own series} of when Grady was ** the way that Grady would notice something's up is that he's like "Abilene and the others [the other kids] should be here. That train always gets here by a quarter past 3" (before getting an update of them being kidnapped by Kenshi) * * * I'd think this could be another evil group besides HORNET [maybe one also working under the big bad, but more knowingly than HORNET is, which explains why they're fine with abducting children] ---- I think it could be an early way to show that Grady may be an old man but he should still be respected by the team because his age is reflective of his experiences (not that they were ever taking him for granted or anything, but just not realizing what he's still capable of doing to help) I even thought of a cliffhanger for the Episode 1 of these two episodes BTW The second half of the episode could focus on Kenshi doing a rescue mission because he's the first one to notice something's wrong so he's able to do the things I talked about with him being stealthy: he uses his smokescreen to sneak around and take out some of the lower ranked guards around the perimeter of wherever the kids are being held captive. When he comes face to face with the kids, he's also revealed to be trapped in a large arena with the train who takes an appearance of a large snake/centipede thing. (that's their Cybertronian form BTW) and so Kenshi uses his speed to cause it to tie itself into a knot. However, when he turns his back on the pretzel-ish knot behind him, the truth about his foe is revealed: it wasn't one Decepticon, but rather a hive mind [each train car being an identical but separate bot that's about 1.5-2 mini-bots tall (which I'd imagine make them a head or two shorter than Kenshi) and they knock him unconcious, ending the episode Also, for part 2, I think Crossguard, Birdy, and Harmony would be creating a diversion by breaking in and battling the hive mind while rescuing Kenshi while Sky and Grady are the team focusing on rescuing the kids Also in part 2, there could be a bit of flashbacks of Sky and Grady when Grady was on his first Autobot team (it wouldn't be all of Sky's backstory but moreso how Grady gave him the autobots insignia tattoo/decal and such) and could end with the scene I previously came up with for them for a random episode -- I attached a revised version below: Sky (flying Grady and the kids back to the base while the rest of the team are driving underneath); "You still up for this life, old man?" Grady: (sitting inside Sky's helicopter cockpit, looking at Abilene and the others huddled up in the emergency blankets he's wrapped them in as they sit the back seats, asleep from the emotional exhaustion they just underwent) "Our age never stopped us before, old friend, and I, for one, don't intend to let it stop me anytime soon. Not when we've got so much to protect" Sky: "As long as power flows through any of my circuits*, I shall stand by you to protect this Earth, my friend" * this is an intended reference to an Optimus Prime quote ------ I'm not sure which of the two options you said fits better, so i'll just share what's in my head if that's alright: with his speed, he probably got there fast enough but before he got there, he probably sent a communication to the other autobots + a communication feature Grady has on his walkie-talkie (something he made when he was a kid -- it'd look low tech but have a feature that allows him to do stuff like communicate with the autobots -- maybe he was going to give Abilene and the others each their own the day before they got kidnapped, with Abilene potentially being like 'Gramps, we admire your crafts, but in this century, we have phones now. We don't need walkie-talkies*) like "The children have been taken by an unknown foe but I'm zoning in on their heat signatures. Will report back when I have them with me and we're heading back to base. Kenshi out" This would have Sky paralleling Grady's moment commenting on Abilene being missing in Part 1, with Part 2 starting with the final moments (Kenshi saying he's secured the children before the feed cuts out) and Sky telling Crossguard and the rest of the team something like "Kenshi should've been back by now. Something's wrong" in the end of the cold opening scene before the title begins. (Within part 2, they'd show up after he was defeated but he'd help take out the Decepticon in part 2 alongside his team -- maybe he could also use katana to carve an opening for Sky and Grady to make the aerial rescue) Also, sounds good; I'll start brainstorming :D * the reasons the phones don't work but the walkie-talkies do is because the cell phones can't make calls/send texts due to not having cell service while the walkie-talkies use a bit of Energon / some outer-space energy to power them up so it's actually running on like 10G service or something like as opposed to 5G being the phone's power [and Grady just makes them look old-fashioned 'cause he likes the technology stuff he used when he was a kid / has nostalgia for it] ---- Name: I think it'd be interesting if it was fully sapient, so it doesn't announce itself by its name but it could be referred to as HydraSwarm (the Greek monster + like a swarm of insects) In vehicle mode: looks like an Amtrak train (to blend in with the regular trains) In united Cybertronian mode: looks like a giant snake and centipede that mainly uses its big size as a weapon: is very hard to destroy Split apart, they'd look like Silverfish (the insect): all cargo are identical (with dark grey backsides) and have drill hands (they don't do much permanent damage but are like mosquito bites where one's annoying but they definitely get more than just annoying if you get more than just one): also, still difficult to be destroyed by attacks as they're seemingly indestructable the way to defeat them is defeat the head of the train (which would be slightly smaller and have a lighter backside than the rest) and once that's defeated, the others are much easier to take care of Also, I'm thinking that maybe they should be about actual mini-bot sized (or slightly bigger) to play up the creepy insectiness

Dialogue from first (two) episode(s): Abilene: whispering to someone next to her, probably Amy Did you see that? I swear that guy just flickered out of existence!! Amy: Girl you know I love you but that makes no sense. Abilene: No! I’m not being crazy, I really saw it! Teach: Care to share what’s so riveting that you need to interrupt my class? Abilene: It’s nothing! Nothing, Ms. Teacher. Teach: Either confess or you’re getting a detention. Abilene: how is that fair? I wasn’t even being disruptive! Amy: Hey, cut her some slack! Teach: Abilene, detention. And unless you want one too, I suggest staying quiet Context: maybe the first decepticon [named Compactor] Abilene first sees could be in disguise as a garbage truck that's stalking her for some reason (in reality, it's stalking Crossguard who was looking for Sky/something [he thinks] Sky has*) and the reason she thinks it's not real is because she saw the hologram of the guy driving the garbage truck flickering (maybe pointing that out to someone too loudly in a class is what leads to her detention? ------- Early (like Episode 1 first half) story beat in early episodeAbilene gets her first detention in high school because her being nosy/curious and now will have to stay after school to serve it: The twins (who would probably be introduced to the audience via this scene but would have been long-time friends of Abilene) are reacting to this Hamza: 'So I'm heard they're sending you to the Forge** for detention after school? What did you do to end up there?" Abilene: * talks about what she saw but nobody still believes her * Raul (in a "dry wit" sorta speaking): "Are you sure all those fumes in the metal workshop haven't gotten to your brain yet?" ** the Forge would be the name for the school's (metal) workshop classroom [which Abilene, taking after Grady, enjoys greatly] ------ (Right before they defeat Compactor: Crossguard: "Looks like it's time to take out the trash" Abilene: "You know how cringe that sounds, right?" __________ General premise (could not find the comment about it so I'm going off memory): Part 1 is Abilene's normal life + her getting the detention and getting chased by Compactor and Part 2 is her meeting Crossguard, them taking down Compactor, her taking Compactor back to Grady's junkyard where they meet Sky through Grady, and send out a beacon to the rest of his team in his own "Calling all autobots moment (which also alerts bad guys -- including the group that'll eventually become HORNET -- to their presence) * we didn't discuss this at the time but maybe he thinks Sky has the Matrix of Leadership (which would foreshadow Sky eventually getting it) Also, maybe the new bots could show up not all in the same episode Like Kenshi could appear first (because he's the fastest) and be the focus of episode 3 And then Harmony could show up in episode 4 And lastly birdy in Episode 5 Also, Abilene's human friends could also find out in those episodes as well (maybe Amy could learn in episode 3 and the twins could learn [at the same time] by episode 5)

Sky Lore: Former Name: Skyscrapper [from Skyscraper (imposing size) + scrapper (a fighter + someone who sells scrap metal, which could tie into stuff I'll get into a bit later)] Current Name: Sky Vehicle form: Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey Weapons: As Skyscrapper, the helicopter blades would become like talon-like claws on both hands, like Lady Deathstrike As Sky, the blades join together to form tonfas :P Lore (tl;dr version because I don't want to leave you waiting too long): Originally a decepticon, he was eventually abandoned by the others because he was deemed a burden and pathetic, leaving him to be abandoned in the midst of battle. However, when approached by one of the autobots who found him (personally, I think it'd be Bumblebee just 'cause he's always felt like the heart of the team but I'd be fine with it being any of Prime's team), they spared him and he was shocked by their kindness and compassion, eventually joining the Autobots. Now, he helps this new generation of Autobots face off against the new threat facing them and the Earth, not as a leader, but as a person who knows the mission "Freedom is the right of all sentient life" as part of his soul, because it is the reason he was able to survive to this day :) He's sorta like the grumpy old man with a heart of gold (like Grunkle Stan in Gravity Falls) but also still suffers a bit of PTSD (and/or guilt) from his time with the Decepticons. While he will be the fighting scrapper type nowdays, the main scrapper he is nowadays is sitting in the junkyard, repairing what he can find (he could be a sorta mentor to Harmony in that way) He'd also probably have the fatherly presence Optimus has with all the other Autobots (I think it'd be interesting to see that energy from a character who isn't actually the team leader) ------ 1. When he switched sides, the idea to shorten the name Skyscrapper to Sky was suggested by one of the Prime team's human friends (Grady). a) Said friend also helped spray paint over the Decipticon logo and place the Autobot logo in its place b) The junkyard where Sky stays nowadays is owned by that human friend (who is probably a bald old dude in his 50-60s who looks like a stereotypical Hillbilly -- less McGucket and more Crazy Dave [plants vs zombies] in appearance, though) and he and Sky still banter like friends a lot (but all the humans think he's crazy and just talking to the junkyard itself.-- underneath the junkyard could also serve as the base for the team for a bit 2. Sky's relation with the others in more details: a) Crossgaurd reminds him a lot of the leadership of Optimus with the playfullness of Bumblebee b) He doesn't understand Kenshi but he respects him (also, once saw a plant start to sprout in the junkyard, and helped clear some of the area around for it to grow, and showed Kenshi) c) Harmony: teaches her of stuff about repair work and how it's important to understand each bot is different d) Birdy: he and birdy make music together with Sky providing the beat/rhythm with stuff from the junkyard and Birdy making the music One thing for Sky: instead, of zoning out, maybe "is a perfectionist" and/or "has a hard time giving up on stuff" (like both he's determined and also he's got internalized trauma about if something he's working on isn't good enough, then maybe he wasn't good enough -- while he's mostly worked out of this negative mindset, it still is in the back of his mind a lot as it's how he spent a good portion of his life thinking) The only new idea I had for him was maybe he resells some of the stuff that Sky fixes up as a way of helping make ends meet (financially)

Wasn't sure if character profiles included the humans or was just the bots, so here are the humans: The Humans: Grady Clay: - Age: 57 - Owner of the junkyard & base for the bots - Helped get Sky back on his feet - Personality: [see other comment] - Main Bot Buddy: Sky Abilene Clay - Age: 16 - Grady’s granddaughter - Adopted after parents passed away(?) (not sure how we feel about this plot point, wanted to discuss) - Personality: realistic, curious all the time, nosy, compassionate - Main Bot Buddy: Crossguard Hamza-Junaid Loha: - Age: 16 - Grade: 10th - Fight now, talk later kinda guy - Really good at math and science - Plays basketball - wears glasses - Twins with Raul - Ethnicity: American/Indian - Personality: loud, nonchalant, stubborn, extroverted, protective - Main Bot Buddy: Kenshi Raul-Manish Loha (decided to give him a hyphenated name as well to fit the theme lol): - Age: 16 - Grade: 11th - Loves reading and history - Skipped 7th grade - Is in the school band - Twins with Junaid - Ethnicity: American/Indian - Personality: Quiet, serious, ambiverted, stubborn, protective - Main Bot Buddy: Harmony Amethyst (Amy) ShiShi - Age: 14-15 (not necessarily skipped a grade, just younger than classmates) - tenatively's Abilene best friend - goalie on school's soccer team - fascinated with racecars [something we hadn't discussed but felt it could work] Main Bot buddy: Birdy (they could enjoy jamming out and making music together) -- also both of them try to be the team guardian

a) Our new MECH could be named HORNET* (Human-Only Resistance of the National Emergency Task-force) [they would be originally people from a national group known as NETS (National Emergency Tactical Services) -- they view themselves as being like actual hornets: they don't mind other humans but they do not like anyone else stepping on their turf (aka Earth) * I'm personally not a fan of what I have for the NET part TBH [and we also don't need to have their original group be NETS] b) The multi-part finale of season 1 could be something like "Infiltrating the HORNET's Nest", where Team Autobot has to take the fight to HORNET's own base due to their own being destroyed. Some things I think could be interesting if we can figure a way to do them well: 1. HORNET has an old-man (relatively) Bumblebee who they've captured and been using to provide Energon for their own creations 1.5. The reason HORNET is only able to use Bee for Energon and not scrap parts is because he has ... the matrix of leadership (which would yes, make him Bumblebee Prime) -- he'd probably be restrained because it'd be revealed maybe he's something "Silas" gave to HORNET to win over their trust (like it'd be revealed in this finale, but alluded to in previous episodes with team autobot wondering how HORNET has the Energon to reanimate deceased Cybertronian sparks and power their own technolgy) 2. Bee would get freed by team autobot before the end of the second-to-last episode of the finale and work alongside them for the rest of the seaosn 3. in the finale, the big bad pretending to be Silas would reveal to have double-crossed HORNET**, teleporting most of the technology they had HORNET build to where they are (which we wouldn't see) before leaving behind one to eliminate HORNET -- which would be a mech (named Wasp) that's an artificially stronger and version of Bumblebee Prime, piloted by the leader of HORNET 4. In the final parts of the season finale, Bee would pass down the Matrix of Leadership to Sky* * *, before sacrificing himself to take down HORNET once and for all [the base could be self-destructing and he'd be fighting Wasp and all that] -- with Bee's final words to the new Team Autobots being a mix of some of my favorite Optimus Prime quotes [either said by Bee in his own voice or through Optimus' voice, depending on if he has his own voice in this continuity]: "We've suffered Losses, but we've not lost the war. You must protect the planet... for freedom is the right of all sentient beings" before they get transported away by the Matrix or something Afterwards, his last words to the audience/Wasp and "Silas" (who's not literally there but can hear the convo) being "I know that this is not the end, but merely a new beginning... others will rise to defeat your tyranny." ** so, slight detail about how I see this double-cross happening: throughout the season, we notice agents of HORNET getting more robotic / cold-blooded as the season goes on. This would be because the Big Bad has used their technology to artificially take over the free will of the humans of HORNET, subjugating them to their will (think what Horde Prime did to Catra and our Hordak -- and with this season finale episode being when they take over HORNET's leader (why did they save the leader for last, you may ask? 'Cause our Big Bad is very sadistic) * * * While I know it technically goes to the leader and Crossguard is still the leader of this team, I think it could make for an interesting Season 2 plot-line [plus, from Bee's perspective, he'd probably be more likely give it to his old teammate over someone he doesn't know as well] Other details include they don't know of Silas personally, their leader just is inspired by/shared Silas' desire for a world just for humans and not any aliens, leading them to get manipulated by "Silas"

Plot for first episode where Kenshi is a jet ski in Part 1: Kenshi is a triple changer (aka he has two vehicle modes): in addition to his Suzuki motorcycle mode, he can also turn into a Kawasaki jetski [I thought him having 2 Japenese vehicles would work together for his whole theme + could clue us in on his speed with his debut saying he landed somewhere in Japan -- showing that despite that distance, he was able to arrive the fastest 'cause of his speed] Part 2: Maybe Junaid finds out that Raul is being forced to do homework for a group of rich bullies (who "can't be bothered to do their work 'cause they'll inherit it someday") and so he insults the bullies for picking on his brother and they challenge him to a boat race around the town's lake or something like that [if he loses, he has to be their in-school servant and if he wins, Raul gets left alone] The balance of the plot would be making sure to not blow Kenshi's cover ('cause I doubt we'd want civillains to all know about the autobots) while also avoiding the cheating measures used by the rich kids and winning the race :) * like now, it just feels like more of a slice-of-life-ish Season 1 episode :P Also the rich kids are just really rich and not using any decepticons or anything like that to cheat

Just gonna leave a reply here 'cause after my + your last reply, I can't see any replies from you or from me :] (here's what I said BTW) 1) Hopefully so 2) Like you're saying, it's different when you're above 13. And then it's different again when you're above 18. Life is a strange thing. 3) :( [Maybe if things work out between you and C, though, you can take them up on that double-date offer /teasingly :P] 4) =( I'm sorry to hear that, Quinn. And I know it's not the same but at least for me, you'll never be an afterthought to me, my little squid-kid /genuine * I mean, why not ask him if he's interested in doing so? If he says no, then it'd likely be for the. reasons you mentioned (not wanting to be distracted) but maybe he'd say yes :P
