The Evening Woodworker

Man, building bunkbeds really makes it hard to move around in here! Anyone else working on something that's taking up their entire shop?

Thirty years ago, I built my daughter's 'big girl bed' in a shop about 2/3 your size so I know the pain. Biggest space crunch came when fitting the drawers underneath. Fond memories, though, and both daughters still have theirs, in use by new generstions.

Yep! A dresser! It's not taking up the ENTIRE shop but definitely interfering with my work flow. Can't make drawers until you make the case, but meanwhile the case is just there taking up space. 😄

I made an elevated planter box. Moving the wood around was not fun.

You ought to try moving around in my shop to try and make anything!

Built a king size bed frame in my small single car garage that also fits my two motorcycles. Had to move everything out to work for two hours then move everything back in. Very time consuming as well.
