It's been a while, but we haven't gone anywhere. Our schedule has been occupied with commitments from other stations; this writer is on the roster of announcers for six of them in the Twin Cities area. One side effect is our ability to schedule games in advance, as we have to stay on alert for potential assignments with other broadcast outlets.
However, our activity will resume soon as a new basketball season approaches, starting with the annual pair of Thanksgiving Tip-Off events. Several new teams are participating, giving us a terrific first glance at possible state tournament contenders. Three defending state champions will take the floor at St. Thomas Academy, while Hamline will showcase teams in the conversation.
