Monster Maze

Good day folks!

I'd love to receive some input/suggestions for an upcoming video ^^

Which man-made structures from the Zelda series would you consider the most impressive? Doesn't have to depend on size only. Things like craftsmanship, functionality, location, etc may also be taken into account.

There are so many to choose from, so Im curious to see if I overlooked any winners.

Cheers!

Don

City in the Sky from Twilight Princess is pretty insane work from a species that doesn't even have arms. Its technology is centuries ahead of anything else seen in that game.

for sure the Arbiter’s Grounds from Twilight Princess. The placement of every brick and trap feels eerily precise and the deeper you get, the more you feel like it actually exists beyond just pixels on a screen (especially during the final boss when the scale of the arena is revealed). the depth just kept expanding more and more the longer I spent time there

Look deeper into the design and layout of the Construct Factory. The rail systems that deliver the parts to the central area, the destinations of the completed Crafter Construct Units and the potential purposes behind them. It's physically all there in-game and able to be followed and tracked down to a staggering degree. Nintendo went way more in depth with creating that place than it initially seems. As a heads up, some of the completed Units are shipped up and out of the Depths to a certain sky island while others that were to receive field testing were manually guided to the Spirit Temple. I just thought it was a very underrated place in terms of how much thought was put into the entire concept and area that probably goes overlooked.

Hyrule castle from botw/totk always stood out to me as being absolutely gigantic and magnificent, especially since we can explore almost all of whats left

The Akkala Citadel in Age of Calamity is a pretty impressive structure in Zelda.

Snowpeak Ruins. I love how it functions really well as a dungeon and makes sense as a mansion/fortress at the same time.

Zora's Domain in BotW/TotK. I'd live there if I could, it's beautiful.

I think the divine beasts are probably the most impressive to me. They are like huge castles that can move locations and also attack huge ranges very effectively

Snowpeak Ruins, easily. Incredibly remote location, up in the mountains, has a story to tell just by its remains, it's paintings, everything.

The Forest Temple from Ocarina of Time comes to mind, it was clearly in use by the Hylians before being abandoned/overrun with monsters, perhaps as either a place of refuge for the Hylian Royal family or as a military base during the Hylian civil war, either way it has some very interesting lore implications based on its design and overall vibe.

For me, I think it's the Forgotten Temple in botw/totk simply because the damn thing is still standing after bare minimum 30,000 years. Sure there's some collapse and refurbishment, but the main building itself still stands.

Hyrule Castle from Windwaker is definitely a standout structure for me! The way it sits on top of such a small piece of land without crumbling is really interesting, plus I love the grand interiors and outdoor pool where you first enter the castle in-game.

Honestly for pure size I would go with either stone tower temple from majoras mask. Or because no one ever actually talks about it. The temple of time in Twilight Princess is very similar in size and location to the to tower of the gods in windwaker.

@RaidSpinel

I have Stockholm Syndrome from glitch hunting it but the Lanayru Mining Facility is massive, and we see so little of it. The belts and carts imply it was a giant automated factory to process mined material.

Stone tower temple is pretty legit it’s built in enemy territory

The Sheikah towers from BotW. They spent 10,000 years underground and work perfectly. They allow people to teleport to them. They provide a map for the Sheikah Slate, and the map updates itself. The towers also just look impressive.

The Clock Tower. Not the biggest structure, but definitely interesting

@HyruleGamer

If the City in The Sky counts, I'd absolutely say that as a whole structure! Other ones that come to mind are Hyrule Castle from pre-Calamity and The Arbiters Grounds in Twilight Princess.

Some of my favorites: • The Knight Academy (Skyward Sword) • Hyrule Castle • The Great Deku Tree and Forest Temples (Ocarina and Twilight Princess) • Mabe Village BONUS - Zelda’s house from TotK which is technically Link’s house I hope that helps :D

The Milk Bar and Astral Observatory in Termina are some of my favorite "comfy" areas. Like where the soul of the game is at its peak.
