Okay everyone here is too smart, this needs to be addressed.

He scientifically came to the conclusion that sleeping well is actually op while the no-sleep meta is in fact trash.

I feel like he’s taking one for the team to figure it what works save what doesn’t. Like a local crack head you’d give experimental drugs to see if its the real shit

Live forever but never see the sun. I think he’s longevity maxing which is not the same as health maxing. Too much discipline and low metabolism makes for a very long and boring life.

ray peat is the only health “guru” (stretching that word) that ever mattered

I don’t know anything about his branding but I do know he’s not doing much actual science. He mixes and matches so many different therapies you could never say what is actually making a difference. No control group.

His scheme is to get billionaires (who are commonly afraid of their own mortality) to pay him big money for consulting. To further this goal, I think it’s pretty obvious that he got cosmetic surgery (show a picture of him to a woman without context and ask if he had work done!) But he would never admit that… he wants you to think its due to the absurd supplement stack. Ultimately it comes down to ensuring 8 hours of healthy sleep, not drinking/smoking, eating whole nutritious foods, exercising daily and taking a multivitamin for any deficiencies in your diet. Everything else is fluff that MAYBE will help you 0.1% for the price of an arm and a leg.

He was a billionaire before getting into health maxing, that's a bad prior to have

i think there's a lot of negativity around him because people don't like the lengths he's going to in order to optimize for longevity, but i think he's genuinely working hard towards his goals, which are: 1. Live for as long as possible 2. Educate others on how to do so 3. Build a blueprint that others can use to live for as long as possible Also in all of those, he always talks about making sure you live happy and healthy too, so it isnt just about squeezing out the extra year or two, it's also about being happy and having a good quality life it really isnt like what he does would only work for him, there actually is a lot of research that goes on behind what he does. I think we should all appreciate him a bit more, and any criticism should go towards his actions not who he is.

ive never been smart enough to understand this but taking the blood of your children and dedicating your entire waking life to living longer idk if he thinks hes going to make real money from it but it's awesome that we have a human lab rat i guess I don't think humans are optimizable, but maybe i cant imagine it because i have mental illness idk

He does a lot of scientific studies which are legit. But what works for him won't necessarily work the same fot everyone. Definitely stick to broader audience conclusions

Not to be an armchair psychiatrist, but I am like pretty much sure he has undiagnosed OCD that manifest in health rituals in order to ease the discomfort of death. Also if he was actually serious about maximizing his lifetime, he would not reside in America or travel to places like Dubai and India that are well known to be highly polluted.

Brian Johnson as in AC/DC? 😅 In that case, all you need a girl who kept her motor clean and she’s the best damn woman that you’ve ever seen

Sylvan Franklin
Is Brian Johnson health maxing legit? Or is he a conman? I like the healthy as possible thing, but I'm a lil sussed out by all the branding and marketing of it all.
