Wind Waker when I first played it more them a decade ago was the only game I played for several months, so I filled out the entire sea chart and did all the side content (except I didn't comolete the figurine gallery). A lot of people describe the islands not required by the story as dull and some are like the reefs but there are definitely some fun ones I think people miss. Considering the many time's I've replayed this game since I first played it more then a decade ago I almost always fill out the sea chart. Its my favorite Zelda game and I think it would be a lot of other people's favorite if it hadn't been rushed.

Working on this video, I'm learning so much more about Wind Waker despite having been playing it for 8 years, the pictograph sidequest alone is so charming.
