Dr. Mindy Pelz

As we move through menopause and beyond, one of the most powerful ways to protect our health is by fueling the brain with amino acids.

These building blocks of protein are essential for creating neurotransmitters like serotonin and dopamine, which influence mood, focus, memory, and even our capacity for joy.

With the dramatic shifts in estrogen and progesterone, your neurochemistry needs extra support - and that’s why eating amino acid–rich foods is a cornerstone of the Primal Menopause Diet, featured in my new book Age Like a Girl 💙

This isn’t just about preserving muscle and metabolism; it’s about safeguarding cognitive health, stabilizing emotions, and keeping your mind sharp and vibrant as you age.

Preorders for Age Like A Girl, your complete menopause guide, are officially open and the first 500 Barnes & Noble orders will receive a special edition signed copy 🎉 www.discover.hayhouse.com/agelikeagirl/

I Waa taking BPC -157 for amino acid report, just had surgery, but I felt weird??? Maybe too much amino acid? My legs and arms felt weird?? Not sure if that was the cause...I'm all out of balance atm, had 2 hernia repairs, endometriosis removed, fallopian tubes removed, appendix removed, cyst of ovary, I'm 51 kilos, but can diopvery quickly, think 'shock' even from pain can really mess with us!!

In my region it is a bit difficult to find... "grass fed beef" can I substitute for sth easier to find and more affordable? Is it true lentils must be soaked before cooking them? If so, for how long ? I don't like egg yolk (it gives me nausea) but I eat the whites, is that ok? Thanks in advance.
