I don’t watch scary movies anymore, but the poltergeist series was definitely tops for me, especially the last one with the mirrors

I didn't see the movie, I saw the newspaper and tv ads for 'Village Of The Damned' I was having so many nightmares that my mother (supposedly) called the tv station to complain. Of course, I was only 5 (or 6 years old). I didn't get to watch the actual flick until many decades later. (It didn't give me nightmares...)

Sinister is the scariest modern horror movie because it doesn't depend on jump scares.

I recently watched " Dead End" ( 2003) and and I was on edge for pretty much the whole movie.

The Strangers because it’s too real. I was legitimately afraid and paranoid that someone was outside my house every night for months.

"Hereditary" was probably the most disturbing movie I've seen so far!

Ringu. Had trouble sleeping the night I watched it and the night a week later.. had to ask around if friends had seen it so I felt safer that I wouldn't be visited by a scary well girl...
