also just because variety posted a thing of her with a caption about joan of arc doesn't prove anything most magazine companies like them don't consult artists about small things like captions before posting things until chappell says something (if she does) about who she was supposed to be we have no way of knowing

chappell was more likely dressed as julie d'aubigny aka a opera singer from 17th century france and a woman who dressed as a man so she could sword duel and was also rumored to be bisexual and is known as a queer icon and we know she was likely dressed as her because the background being burned during her set is a reference to the fact that julie joined a convent to allegedly be close to her lover who was a woman and they escaped it and set it on fire as they escaped julie was sentenced to death for her crimes but fled to avoid execution
stop trying to cancel her for things she didn't do she never said that she was joan of arc people just assume things it is far more likely she was dressed as julie d'aubingny not just because of the burning but also because chappell likes to honor queer icons
no, i cant prove that chappell was referencing julie (i just think its more likely that she was) as i am not her and i don't personally know her but you can't prove that she was dressed as joan of arc just because shes the first person you think of doesn't mean she is what she was referring to
