im loving the retired hobby arc, bro doesnt care about algorithms and is just following what interests him. massive props.

My 33yr old partner was recently diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, which was totally out of the blue as she was fit and healthy with no family history. We also have two children aged 7 and 5, so we're really praying the chemo does its job. Thanks for doing this Pewds ❤️

Once again Felix shows us how a person with a large scale audience should act and contribute. Amazing stuff pewds!

I'm 23 years old and I've been watching you for 10 years or so. I've been diagnosed with cancer in the last 2 months which is a pretty big shock I'm sure to anyone. This put a large smile on my face. Keep er' going! ❤️❤️

I remember the Folding@Home project on the Playstation 3!! Basically you would keep your PS3 turned on and the program would help researchers use your computing power to power research for folding proteins. Super cool to see this project going on PCs

Wow I didn't realize Folding was still a thing! I was involved maybe 7 years ago - glad to see it's still around.

As a biologist who is a data analyst, this is so very cool. One of my major holdbacks is simply the fact that my hardware can’t handle a lot of what I need to get done. I’ve even been given 40gb RAM and it’s still just not quite enough. Even 64 will start to stutter if I try to pull up too many files at a time to compare them. It’s a serious issue. I’m so glad people have made a program like this. THANK YOU FOR SPREADING THE WORD.

This feels a little personal as I’m fighting cancer myself at 23. Thanks for doing a good job!

Brother is doing everything and I so wish to be like him. He’s got so much dad stories to share to bjorn ❤️❤️

I am a PhD student in Bioinformatics and I use GPU-powered simulations to evaluate the effect of protein mutations on the patient response to treatment!! This is such an amazing initiative 👏

This is honestly such a cool way for someone with a larger audience to offer them a way to engage in a positive way. Something that can actually improve or save lives. Wishing you the best, Felix! 🙏

As a father with a 13 year old son who was recently diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma (very rare and aggressive bone/soft tissue cancer), thank you for what you're doing.

You've just given me a new reason to upgrade home server from popato to something better. Your journey from legend to legend is amazing

Your son is going to be so proud of you when he learns all you've done for people. You're a great man, Pewds.

Folding @ Home had a big resurgence during the pandemic in 2020, a great initiative.

I’m currently dealing with Stage 3 Inflammatory breast cancer. I finished chemo at the end of June, just had surgery to remove one side, I’m starting radiation tomorrow, and will have surgery to remove the other side after. Stuff like this makes a difference on a larger scale, but I also wanted to say that it means a lot to me; to have someone I’ve followed for over a decade positively contribute to this thing that affects my life so wholly right now…Thanks, bro. 😎

Very exciting. Will be joining this. I’m a cancer researcher at Johns Hopkins (the oldest research university in the USA) and this could be a MASSIVE help for us. 😊

My mom's got cancer since 2018, she's a beautiful soul and has worked her whole life as a single mother of two, earning minimum wage. I really want to see her travel the world, since she couldn't do anything for her own dreams. Thank you for funding this!

USING MY COMPUTER TO FIGHT CANCER 🧬
I found this super cool project called Folding@home thanks to a commenter on my last vidya
Basically:
#### Scientists design protein simulations for disease research
#### We use our GPUs and crunch the data for them.
SO... together we could be the world’s biggest supercomputer? --> for a good cause!
I made a team: (team pewds) ID 1066966 . Please join me if youre interested!!!
(I feel like this reads like an ad but its just for charity and for fun lol, and saying your computer has helped cancer research among other diseases is a nice flex too).
