Embarrassment as entertainment is nothing new. But what is new is how Pop the Balloon and dating shows like it give into a dark curiosity we have in watching people embarrass themselves for a chance at love.

New Video is live: https://youtu.be/N_0HT3gDSP4

I wasn't all that interested in it but the more I watched, the more I realized I should have just sat this one out. Not it was legit sad and I felt really gross after watching. and that's not to say that I shame anyone for getting into it, I just had a hard time making it through cause of how off I felt.

My question though is have you seen the show on YouTube or on Netflix? Would you participate? Let me know in the comments below.

Hey,Tiff!! Great to see you're still here doing your thing!! 🙏🏾💪🏾. No,I wouldn't participate in a show like this. I've seen a few episodes of the YouTube version and while I was rooting for everyone to find love,I eventually realized that the objective of the show was to entertain and humuli

I wouldn’t participate in a show like this. It’s really degrading. However, props to the host and contestants with confidence👏🏾

No, I would not participate. It's gotten out of hand. --- Sidebar: would love to hear your opinion on "Sinners"

I have seen clips of it on Facebook reels. But I have never watched a Pop The Balloon episode either on YouTube or Netflix as I just cannot stand humiliation content. And I would participate in it.

Does this show give people the opportunity to do some self reflection though? Do the types of people who watch this ever think about it? I'm reminded of the Maury Show. At first I watch with curiosity, then I made judgments, but at a certain point I realized I needed to judge myself as well. From the producers, show guests, audience, all the way down to myself, we were all engaging in something disgustingly inhuman. It's turtles all the way down.
