Alright everyone alive! We have reached 1500 subscribers.
The number isn't particularly round but the circumstances are rather special. The spike of newcomers of the last few days (btw, welcome) is due to @flawedpeacock having mentioned me in his recent Rusty Lake video.
As I always do, I wrote a huge comment in response to different takes on the lore. I call such comments "my 2 thousand cents". They are about things I agree with and about things I don't, all in attempt to launch The Discussion.
Without The Discussion we theorists would stay in our info bubbles overthinking one things and completely missing others. The Discussion serves to open our eyes and often to challenge our views, but most importantly to strengthen the collective knowledge of the community.
Paradox is a tricky game to understand. Its scale and place in the release order are misleading. You naturally tend to place it in the end of the timeline but when you start digging, when you go deep, when you start notice obscure clues you understand how wrong the easy answer was. It's not the end of the journey, it's actually the beginning, a prequel of sort.
I've seen many theorists who walked this path from the beginning to the end. We a relatively small community of enthusiasts formed the consensus about this game but for years it was inaccessible for many casual fans. But thanks to you guys who answered my call and liked my comment under Peacock's video, we've managed to push this consensus into masses.
I would also love to thank Peacock himself for not just taking an interest in our beloved series, for not just promoting it among broader audience, but also for his earnest analysis and research. I may disagree or not completely agree with many things he says and so may other theorists, but I'm very grateful that he didn't deliberately misrepresent the lore in pursuit of sensation and clickbait. And I'm grateful for his participation in The Discussion
I encourage you take part in It yourself and point out my mistakes in the comments. The Discussion must go on.
