It will look more historically accurate when the engine oil starts puking down its side and mixes with the coal dust that was dumped on top of it at a loading facility.

Great photos bringing back great memories. I grew up in a small town in central KY where the L&N crossed the C&O at a diamond. Unfortunately, the scenic C&O track was abandoned and pulled up in the early 1980s, along with the beautiful shared depot.

I saw CSX 1982 (the Seaboard Systems heritage unit) sitting on a bridge above I-77 in Charlotte today. First time seeing one of those heritage units in person!

If they do a Pere Marquette unit, I pray to god that they donβt rehash the C&O paint. As weβve already seen with the Monon unit, the black with gold lettering is honestly a great contrast with the YN3 blue
