I did the same job to my mum's 1968 Triumph Vitesse MkII 2.0 straight six convertable, which is essentially the same car. Needed the brakes releasing and rotors cleaning, a Brake Bleed, a couple of carburetor overhaul kits (the seals had perished and the floats wouldn't hold fuel) and the points cleaning and dwell setting, but aside from that, it started on the first attempt, without choke, (based only on the settings for the carbs that came with the kits). Once the carbs were balanced (pipe in the ear/venturi) it ran smooth enough to balance a coin on the rocker box. I'm looking forward to seeing this one Ivan π

I have faith in you Ivan, after all, I got a 1953 Austin A35 running and driving with almost no parts needed in pre youtube days lol. Had a 998cc A series engine with manual transmission, single barrel 1 1/4" SU Carb, even had the original wheel brace / starting handle with it.

Points condenser leads stromburg carb manual lift pump a 6 banger four on the floor rear wheel drive she's a honey . I think the only big problem is that the steering wheel is on the wrong side so you need to fire the parts canon sorry to say. I had the mechanical fuel injected tr6 with overdrive what a beast all low end grunt enjoy it Ivan from the uk

Dude can you imagine how boring things would be without youtube. You get amazing projects, we get amazing videos. Now if only you lived somewhere with better land use policy so you could have a shop, with a lift. Rock on Sir Ivan

I don't know Ivan, there's no CAN BUS for you to hook your Pico Scope to. Going to have to revert to old school multimeter poke and hope. Hope you and Lukas get along with one another. Bring it on.
