Man I can’t answer stuff like this. I like them all. My only preference is that “road worn” is earned. No shade on anyone that feels differently, though. To each his own

Satin finish doesn't get all fingerprint smudgy. But it also wears odd. It gets more shiny around high contact points.

I'm in the shiny and glossy camp and, while I'm not at all surprised to see that nitro is in the lead, I'm glad that battered and bruised (reliced) is in last place.

I really like metallic sparkly finishes, I had a sterling cutlass in a metallic rose gold and absolutely loved how it looked.

I’m a fan of poly finishes. Nitro is fragile. Satin is dull and looks cheap to me. Satin necks are good though. A little wear is cool, but the heavy relic look is not for me. They’re all good. It’s about what you like. 👍

I like the road worn thing just for the fact that I’m not afraid to ding it a bit No case required if I’m just driving to a buddies place real quick Plus some of them come with nice checking on those fender road worns nowadays They can look terrible overdone though.

Can't say much about nitro. Never smelled or seen it in person. But satin especially the Ibanez iron label rg I owned in surreal blue burst was killer. No fingerprints what so ever. Gloss looks great like on my les paul junior from epiphone, but if you wanna post pictures of it, you spend more time cleaning finger prints off of it than actually playing it 😂. Nitro is interesting cause it shows wear over the years which is a idea that I absolutely adore. It shows how much you did or didn't love your instrument

The thing with faux-aging is it’s fake love. Nobody hammered away on that thing for hours to perfect a song.

Whatever you look best with, some guitarists pull off the wild shiny colors, others look best with their road worn gear. It’s like jewelry in a sense, some people look better with silver than with gold, you know.

I really don't care what it looks like. Does it sound nice, play great and stay in tune

I’m torn on satin vs poly. I liked the feel of sterling music man basses, but I don’t really care for the feel on the prs se body.
