I will watch any of your videos. I’m an indie publisher and because of your videos I found some of my favorite games and creators. While I don’t make games yet, I am still amazed at the game dev space. Change can be wonderful. I hope your channel gets more traction and you continue with your videos for the year. Thank you Mr. Glen!

I think no matter which topic you focus on, game dev docs or otherwise, your editing style and manner of presentation will always make for an interesting documentary that leaves me wanting to learn more about that topic! Whichever topic you choose to focus on, I'll happily watch.

No matter what, I’ll support you. You put a lot of effort into making videos, especially apparent with videos having similar styles to the games, and it’s obvious you care a lot about YouTube. It’s hard to find channels these days that care that much about the videos they make, so I’ll support the few I can find. Keep up the great work :)

Cheering for you my guy. It looks like you haven't had a video with over a million views for a minute so I'm really hoping you see a video pop off again soon. Maybe propose a few ideas for us to vote on to see if that guides you to the most relevant idea. But ultimately, this is your channel and your art. Excited to see what you come out with next and I really hope to see more people gravitate to your channel because your videos are top tier.

I saw the Nintendo Switch 2 video and got really excited. I used to watch a bunch of videos about game consoles. It's not about the games themselves, I just love your video style! Whatever you choose to cover, I'll keep watching.

Hey, everyone! A wile ago I posted an update about the channel on Patreon, but I think it’s important that everyone who subscribes to the channel can see the message as well. Before I dive into things, let me provide a little bit of context. Even though the channel focuses on the development of video games, it originally didn’t start out that way. My initial vision for the channel was to cover all sorts of video game topics that I think are interesting. That’s why my second video is about why Hideo Kojima left Konami. After a few more videos I noticed I was fascinated by indie developers and what they go through while making a game. It felt comfortable sticking to that niche and I never got bored of it.
Even today, I still love covering the development of (mainly) indie games. Lately however, the urge to go outside my niche has been growing and given that this year might be my final year as a YouTuber, I feel like I owe it to myself to cover at least a few video game topics I’ve always wanted to cover. My plan right now is to create a new series for those types of videos, while Game Dev Docs will continue to exist alongside that. So no, Game Dev Docs is not going away, it will never go away as long as this channel exists, but there will be other documentary-style content in between episodes. All video game-related of course.
I understand that might be frustrating for some of you, especially since it already takes a while for me to make a single video, but I feel like it’s something I need to do. I hope you’ll continue on this journey with me and give the new series a chance, but if not, no hard feelings. And just to be clear, the most recent video about the creation of the Switch 2 was more of a palette cleanser while I’m working on bigger picture stuff. My next video will be the first episode of the new series. After that, I’ll probably make another Game Dev Docs episode and see how it goes from there. Anyway, I hope you’ll enjoy what’s to come, cheers!
