Valve said they were "working on it" yet they've been shown in the past to not give a shit about their games (cough TF2) so I wouldn't be surprised if this is the end of l4d2. This is Valve were talking about here.

Yeah I had one happen to my server a week or so ago. I think it's only on versus servers though.
