"But-but she forced a trans woman to voice a man-" Dana didn't hold her at gunpoint and threaten her to voice Sparky. That's not how casting works. Either she auditioned for the role or was offered it. In either case, if she wasnt comfortable voicing a male character, she wouldn't have taken the role.

Non-binary, fem-leaning person here. When I first saw Frankie, I knew she was either a trans woman or a tomboy. And when Dana confirmed it on Blue Sky, I was like "Oh, got it." I got an answer, and it was that she's the latter. And I like this because I feel like there isn't enough Animated Tomboy characters, one of the things about the female experience is that it is a spectrum. Some girls love expressing their feminine side while others are butch, and prefer to look androgynous. Those Women need to be represented, I feel as much as Trans Women and we already have a plethora of fictional Trans Characters in Animation that I thought people were willing to accept Frankie being the amazing woman she is. But no! Apparently, Dana Terrace is a transphobe because she doesn't agree with someone's headcanon that Frankie is. I mean, they called Frankie Franklin at one point, that's who "he" really is. Or the opposite is true, stop calling her Franklin you transphobe. She's trying to avoid the struggle of being dead named and misgendered by you..😂😂😂😂 It's unbelievable that these so-called "fans" are telling this to Dana Terrace, the writer who created Raine Whispers, a non-binary character from The Owl House, and is friends with Raine's voice actor, who is A TRANSGENDER MAN! She is actively fighting for equal rights as I type this essay, she is a Queer Woman herself and wants to see people like me thrive in a world where we are all united by our differences. Calling Dana Terrace transpobic is like calling ND Stevenson transphobic because he voiced Spinnerella in She-Ra and the Princesses of Power. Sometimes, I read these comments and I wonder "How are these people saying this, yet call themselves liberal?" It's one thing to boycott someone who is actually transphobic, like Orson Scott Card or Scott Clawson, but these attacks on Dana make me think "These people aren't one of us." They're not liberal, they don't think from a perspective to move progress forward, they're most likely centerists with a misunderstanding of what it means to be trans. Wether they're upset Frankie is not trans or they're upset that a trans actress voiced a cis male character, they're wrong because their completely misunderstanding and ignoring what's right in front of them. And that's another thing: Sparky. Are the people really mad for Kayleigh, upset she didn't get a female part? Or are they offended by the idea of a trans woman voicing a guy? Both sound malici

It's not transphobic to clarify that a masculine presenting female character is cis. It'd be one thing if she was nasty about it, but she wasn't, so maybe people should quit acting like Dana bombed Angola and chill the hell out

It’s one thing if another person sees themselves in Frankies character, trans or not, but its another thing to push that label on a character when the creator clearly said she isn’t that. Plus I love the rep Frankie brings. Even with her outward appearance seeming more tomboy/masc she still loves things that are stereotypically more feminine like princesses and tiny cute robots/plushies.

The internet in 2025 can be described in 1 quote. “Evolution must be going in reverse.”

These Idiot Wokescolds are attacking one of the loudest Voices for LGBT Rights in Entertainment over a Headcanon because they can´t comprehend that Dana saying it isn´t canon doesn´t stop them from having that Headcanon. I hate sharing my Beliefs and Interests with People like this

I don't know who thought that. It literally defies all logic. Dana terrace might be the least transphobic person on the planet on isn't actually trans.
