In anticipation for Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac, I finally got around to finishing the original game.

The camera is so bad, especially in later levels. I'd like to get a better view on where I'm going, but the camera just wouldn't budge. Level designs range from being very solid to stupidly difficult, this game really expects you to be a pro-player. They also don't really utilize the flip kick that Pac-Man can do outside of the first level, I completely forgot about using it until battling Spooky at the end. The Rev Roll also took some time getting used. I know the original Pac-Man World had a few difficulty spikes, especially with Anubis Rex. But compared that to Blinky (who's called Clyde in this for whatever reason) in the Caldera, Blinky's boss fight has a worse hitbox.

As attempting as it is, I would NOT recommend you 100% the game. Unlike the first Pac-Man World, the game itself is only fun when you're not in a rush to collect all the dots, fruits, and tokens. The letters in the first game are much more rewarding since you could collect more fruit and lives. But the tokens in this game could've been better, some are even in spots that look nearly impossible to reach. You also collect tokens by doing time trials, which are just the worst. In my opinion, it's not worth the hassle trying to collect 180 tokens just so you can play Ms. Pac-Man at the arcade. Especially since knowing the Pac-Fan you are, you probably already have the arcade version of Ms. Pac-Man in some form.

From the perspective of a huge Pac-Man World fan, it was somewhat difficult transitioning to Pac-Man World 2 because of the way they changed the mechanics and collecting methods. Those changes definitely ruined some of the experience for what is otherwise an actually fun game. Here's hoping Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac fixes most if not all of my problems with the original. Now all I have to do now is find a copy of Pac-Man World 3, so I can actually get around to playing it. Hopefully my experience with World 3 is a little better.
