Amazing setup. George Lucas, ILM & his Star Wars set designers don’t get enough credit. All of the sets, starships, vehicles, weapons & sets actually looked futuristic in Star Wars, ESB, & ROTJ which were shot in late 70’s & early 80’s. The designs have held to this day. Also, they did an amazing job on the prequels making the tech during the time period still look futuristic but retro compared to the original trilogy stuff which we all know happened later in time. Most sci-fi during that time frame looked so kitschy, wonky & doofy; Star Trek was ok but Star Wars design set the bar. Look at Buck Rodgers for example. They put so much thought into it all from the lightsabers to the AT-ATs to the Death Star. This is a big part of the reason it is so timeless & enduring.
